One tip that would be greatly helpful, at least in my battlegroup: Beware the Circle Zerg.
Basically, your opponent gets in one big group and goes from one base to the next in a big circle around the battleground, stopping only long enough to cap a node. The trick to this is to avoid fighting the zerg head-on, instead moving in behind the zerg after they leave a base to kill whatever defense they left behind and recap. EZpie, but I've lost several bgs because of the "Red is dead" no strategy mentality.

Another way to deal with the Circle Zerg is the 'Cunctator zerg' strategy. You basically have a group consisting of a high survivability healer, a tank/DPS hybrid and a pure DPS who stand and fight while the rest of your group caps flags and counter zergs. If you can delay the circle zerg long enough you can win just on caps.
