No. Blizz takes one of their more interesting characters, makes him 'go mad' and has us kill him off... yawn.

As far as Tyrande, I seriously can't see her sitting around doing nothing this whole time, which has been my biggest beef with the Alliance all through WoW. People like to complain that there's too many Nelves, etc but the fact is their story has just been botched and ignored in WoW almost from day one. It honestly feels like no one knows wtf to do with Tyrande since Furion's been in the nightmare, so they've just left her alone. She's a dynamic, interesting character and has been totally wasted in WoW. I also would have liked to see more on how such a xenophobic, ancient society dealt with all the sweeping changes that took place (losing immortality, men allowed in the priesthood, women learning druidism, etc). There was so much fodder for interesting stuff that's been ignored.

I'm really hoping Cata will give them a place in the spotlight, like BC and the blood elves (though hopefully with a lot better results than the OOC, Sue-tastic garbage we were treated to with that abomination of a manga). The return of the Highborne, losing Ashenvale, and the rest should finally bring Tyrande out.

Team Illidan! Both he and Kayle'Thas did not deserve to become loot pinatas for the players...they were to important and interesting to just have....died the way they did.

So...who do we get for the final fight against the litch king?

His two jilted angry chicks, some guy with a huge chin and the brain span of a small squirrel, and finally an orc prone to temper tantrums who likes to play warlord.

Darrion and Tirion are awesome...but I fear they will be mostly overshadowed by those...folks...ugh.
