More WoW-themed cakes
Thanksgiving seems like an excellent time to update our gallery of WoW-related confectionary masterpieces, also known as WoW cakes. This dragon and Alliance-themed cake above was made for Valaar of Kargath by his girlfriend Erelia for his 30th birthday. She also made the Cake of the Lich King that we posted a while back. Talented lady!
And elsewhere in the updated gallery, you'll find this Moonkin cake, made for Mark by his mother, sister, and girlfriend. Yes, those do appear to be real feathers on the cake. Probably not the most appetizing topping, but maybe they were just making it to show off. It does add a very Moonkin feel, that's for sure. If you have pictures of an awesome WoW-related cake, feel free to send them along on our tipline, and you may see them right here in the future!

The confection is a fabrication.
There. It's been said. Nobody else needs to now.

Is that a metal -non edible -shaped dragon thingie around the cake or is it something that is actually edible?
If it's edible, then yeah that's a really good cake - cuz I know I can't do anything that classy. Otherwise if it is fake, then I have this to say: Anyone can make a round cake, not everyone can make edible dragon parts though.

A detailed achievement cake for turning 20, 30, 40, etc. would be pretty awesome too.

Actually, doesn't the cake pictured above depict the symbol marking an elite mob? (In this case, a level 30 one. ;)
Avi Nov 30th 2009 5:17PM
There is edible gold leaf, though I'm not sure that's what's used here.

Ugh, that was a reply to Deadly. Off. Topic. >.

Seeing as how I turned 30 this year, it's good to know that someone thinks hitting this level, erm, age means I'm now an Elite. *grin*

This is Valaar, to answer Deadly, yes it's completely edible and was amazing. I said a little more about it at valaar.com if anyone is interested.

If it's all edible, then that's a great looking cake. ^_^ With the way the picture was looking kinda blurred, I couldn't tell.

Beautiful, absolutely amazing. I'm a female and thus admit that I'm shamelessly attracted to shiny things ("Ooooh, shinies!"... if WoW were the real world I'd end up being an ugly little Gorloc, heh), and I've always adored the majesty and raw power of dragons. Thus, looking at such a lovely and delicately-crafted golden dragon makes me positively giddy, and the fact that it's a sweet and tasty edible treat is just a huge bonus!
A very big and sincere bravo to the creative and talented lady who brought such a delightful feast for the eyes into existence!

For being an ally, i'll admit that's a clever cake idea.

The cake is a lie...
