The Queue: The bird is most certainly not the word

Normally I'm all right with birds, but this one kept murdering me in cold blood last night on my priest, even though I was several levels higher than him. I mean, there are elite magnataur out there in the same zone with one-fourth the HP of this damn bird. What do you want from me, Alystros? I pay my taxes, I vote, I volunteer at the local museum. The least you could do is cut your HP and damage by about 75% so I can convert your corpse into gold and experience.
And what does that have to do with The Queue? Nothing, dear readers. Absolutely nothing.
Brysterside asked via Twitter:
What is the best way to start a WoW blog?
Simply put? Start writing! If you want to blog, you have to write. Find something you're passionate about in the game and write write write, because two things will keep readers coming: good content, and regular content. Make sure that you can provide both.
It's not easy getting the discipline to be a regular blogger -- just ask me -- but the payoff can be big in many ways. WoW.com has a series of articles on starting your own WoW blog, which you can start here. Hope that helps!
epatt29 asked via Twitter:
What do you think of Blizz's Battlecry mosaic and how it literally puts faces to our online community?
For all of the community's touting that WoW has become mainstream and "this celebrity plays WoW" and "this newspaper thinks WoW is cool," the Battlecry photos are almost refreshing in that they show that, at heart, we really are just a bunch of nerds. Look at the photos and check out all the neckbeards, anime wall scrolls, and resin dragon sculptures. It just warms my heart.
Tensai asked via Twitter:
Why do grey items exist? If it's only to vendor, why not just up the amount of gold a mob drops?
It's an artificial break. You're forced to vendor the grays and unused quest rewards you get as you level because it breaks up your gameplay time and affords you a little repose. It's intentional.
NinthBatter asked via Twitter:
Is there any lore reason why worgen aren't going to be able to be paladins, or is it just because Blizz said so?
You know, I'd like to know the same thing. I was really hoping that worgen would be able to be paladins. Gilneans were supposed to be avid Light worshipers and there were definitely Gilnean paladins. Since they're not Gilneans anymore, though, my guess is that it just didn't seem to fit thematically. Worgen are being billed as, essentially, the Alliance's first "dark-side" race, much like the forsaken and the blood elves on the Horde side. At least with priests, there's the whole Shadow thing, which is also the reason for forsaken priests, but paladins may just not have fit the worgen "kit".
Luthvian asked via Twitter:
Is there a 30-40 zone that doesn't suck?
Nowadays, actually, Dustwallow Marsh is much better than it used to be. It got a makeover back in BC and there are several new quest lines as well as several old quest lines that are actually finished now. Missing Diplomat, anyone? Shady Rest Inn, anyone?
I'd definitely give it a look if you haven't yet. If you don't like Dustwallow, though, your options are decidedly more grim.

Why does Mr Pinchy not want to bite my hook?
Skonged Dec 4th 2009 5:07PM
A: Your hook is too small.
Nicknin10do Dec 4th 2009 5:14PM
That's what she said?

You're probably not using the right bait. Ask a master... angler
Barinthos Dec 4th 2009 5:17PM
It's not the size of your hook that matters, it's how you wiggle it.
AudreyR Dec 4th 2009 9:09PM
Mr. Pinchy is very adverse to having sharp, point metal things sticking him in the face. I, for one, completely understand.

I can't believe people voted up your racist comment.

You obviously missed the 80s & 90s. That's a regular gag, that Asian restaurants serve bizarre choices of meat.
For example, If someone says speaks in trade chat about the French immediately surrendering to a certain actor made famous as a fictional Texan lawman, it's not a joke about the French.

Grey items are also there for flavor. OMG, there's gotta be some RP in an MMORPG otherwise it's just an MMOG, OK?
