Thank you! That's been bugging me a little bit. =)

If you are repeatedly passed over for promotion at your company because you are a woman, that is a glass ceiling.

If you are repeatedly passed over for a promotion because there are only a few openings with many many people interested that is COMPETITION, not a "glass ceiling".
