WoW.com's Guide to Patch 3.3 updated
Patch 3.3 has been out on the PTR for quite awhile now, and we've seen a ton of changes that will significantly alter the way the game is played. Everything from the new Dungeon Finder Tool, to the highly anticipated confrontation with Arthas.
The sheer amount of content is hard for anyone to keep up with, and we've been steadily updating the WoW.com Guide to Patch 3.3 with everything we've written about the patch (over 250 articles now). This weekend we went through and did a large updating, sorting through a few things and polishing it up.
We heard last week from a few sources that patch 3.3 will be deployed tomorrow, if Blizzard was able to fix the last few remaining bugs. We haven't heard any updates on that yet, but will let you know as soon as we hear anything.
Check out the guide for all your patch 3.3 goodness, and be sure to keep an eye on WoW.com over the new couple days!

Connectivity issues should be fixed by now, as I don't have them anymore since the latest ptr build.
At which time will maintenance and patch 3.3 respectively be officially announced for the US?

Ok a bunch of people in my guild and on my server (Skullcrusher,A) have been saying that in 3.3 Sons of Hodir rep will be a lot easier to get. The best I have found is that rep for most (if not all) WotLK factions are seeing 30% rep gains from tabards and/or dailies.
I have also heard that in 3.3 you can mail the shoulder enchants from the Sons of Hodir quartermaster once you have the appropriate rep to other toons on your acct on that server. I cannot find any info to back this up however, can anyone point me in the right direction?
Thanks.

If any of that is true that would be great. Having to grind Sons daily on yet ANOTHER character is just mind numbing. And I don't want fork out 500g+ for a stack of relics to get through it faster.

@Barinthosd
Amen brother!

I think they added a Sons of Hodir commendation badge to the daily dungeon rewards, but I'm not entirely sure (especially since the new dungeon system may completely eliminate the dungeon rewards).

The Sons of Hodir shoulder enchants, both the Honored and Exalted versions, will become Bind on Account and can be mailed to any of your other toons on your realm. This way you only need to grind it out with one character.

I think I remember something about faster rep grinds too, but rep grinds build character! I remember back in my day, we used to grind rep from Azshara to Silithus, uphill both ways!

hmm - so I swear I remember hearing that we would be able to mail BoA items from one faction to another (as long as they were on the same server) this patch - was I dreaming?
Eudeyrn Dec 7th 2009 2:31PM
As far as I know that did make it into the patch. See this link for all the changes that aren't listed in the patch notes, but have been observed on the PTR:
http://www.wowwiki.com/Patch_3.3.0_%28undocumented_changes%29
From that page: "All Bind on Account Items are now able to be shared cross faction."
Unfortunately, that still doesn't allow cross-server transfers of BoA, but they've said that's something they can and probably will implement later (Cataclysm?).

So far I've heard of three new mini pets, the pug, and the two that will be sold in dalaran? Anyone know of any more?

Blue Post:
The following reputations have been sped up by roughly 30%:
Argent Crusade
Alliance Vanguard
Horde Expedition
Kirin Tor
Knights of the Ebon Blade
Sons of Hodir
Wyrmrest Accord
* Sons of Hodir quests now give more reputation overall.
* Top-level helm and shoulder faction-related enchants are now available as Bind-on-Account items that do not require any faction to use once purchased (they still require the appropriate faction level to purchase).
* Reputation commendations can now be purchased for 1 Emblem of Triumph each.

Perfect timing. I just got Northrend Vanguard last week.
Babaloo Dec 7th 2009 11:29AM
Woah, Arthas has packed on the pounds...
Balkam Dec 7th 2009 11:37AM
Yeah, I just noticed that WoW.com's new resident crappy artist is not venturing from androgynous cows and blood-elven orcs to trying to draw Arthas.
