So there's a few things you can start off with:
- Check out the new dungeon finder (and farm those Emblems)!
- Head into the new Icecrown 5-player dungeons
- Try and get the Quel'Delar
- Buy a new bag
- Start planning for the fishing tournament in Northrend
- Assault Icecrown Citadel itself
- Run a nerfed version of Oculus
- Send your Heirlooms to your toons of the opposite faction (on the same account).

Why is there never no tank love? First no Kirin Tor tanking ring, now no tanking Quel'Delar Sword/Mace/Axe.
If you are a healer, caster dps, or melee dps there is a Kirin Tor ring, and now a Quel'Delar sword or a mace for you, but no tanking stuff.

Someone told me that you can't even do ICC until you've completed the 5-man instances. Anyone have any word if this is true?

You have to complete one 5-Man dungeon to access to the next one.
You can start any 10 or 25 Man (normal/hard) right away

Log toons, check they all still have the same number of body parts and none have been destroyed by the patch. Then fix the broken add-ons...

Think I'm just going to hang out on an alt to be honest. I'm pretty sure all my 80's are parked in Dalaran which isn't happy. Unlike most people I don't have any anticipation for this patch, but even if I did; we will be stuck at this content level for MONTHS. So why bother with the pain of lag and problems when Feralas is as cool as it ever was? Assuming that works, but usually the lower level zones are alright.

Thats why I moved all of my toons out of Dalaran last night. I forgot and had 4 in Dal for 3.1...
I wont be making that mistake again :)

If my toy were going to be completely dysfunctional if I played with it the first day, then fine afterwards. Yes I would.

And just to specify, a toy analogy doesn't really work much anyway. I mean you open a gift and you get pretty much the full functionality of your new thing. You're not going to get through all of icecrown anyway, not even close. In fact you can't run that heroic more than once a day unless you use the random dungeon feature.
It's more like you get some toy truck as a package. However the wheels only sort of move. You can't open the doors or do much else with it either at first, even though you'll progress enough in month or two to be able to do that stuff. And while you're playing with it, you'll randomly pass out. Others will simply complain about how they can't even get the box open.
In a day or two everything works fine. Is it worth just playing with other stuff and waiting for a day or two? To me it is, but that's just me. I have as much fun on low level alts (maybe more) as I do on a level 80.

Train the new Glyph of Eternal Water, tweak my frost spec, practice the new rotation, pwn Arthas.
Maybe a few other things like the new dungeons, the rest of the raids, and of course some random LFG just till I get the pug for pugging.
