Patch 3.3: How to find the Frozen Halls
The information in the video above might seem terribly obvious to you. How hard could it be to find the new 5-man instances? There's banners all over the place, and it's lit up like a landing strip! It must be easy to find!
Yeah, you would think that, but our experience on the PTR disagrees. For every one person that can find the instances, there are thirty who can't. This video here? Consider it a gift to you that actually know how to get there. Instead of needing to explain it to every single guild member of yours begging for directions, just point them toward this video.
You'll mock me now, but you'll thank me later. Trust me. You will.
Patch 3.3 is the last major patch of Wrath of the Lich King. With the new Icecrown Citadel 5-man dungeons and 10/25-man raid arriving soon, patch 3.3 will deal the final blow to Arthas. WoW.com's Guide to Patch 3.3 will keep you updated with all the latest patch news.

Thanks!

Yeah, I was one of those people looking stupid on the ptr :D
Sakain Dec 8th 2009 1:44PM
really, is this necessary?
Rwings Dec 8th 2009 1:50PM
Their covering every single question any one could have with this new patch, and their doing a great job at it. This may not be relevant to you but I'm sure it is to a lot of people. Not everything posted will be 100% aimed at you but it never could be. I'm pretty sure at least something they've posted today answered a question you had.
Mixx Dec 8th 2009 1:58PM
really, is that comment necessary? If you already know the answer then move along.
I for one watched it. Have been away for a month or so, in game & out, with little/no internet access for the most part. I'm sure I could have found them without the video but now I know exactly where to go.
How exactly is this a problem for you?
Mike Dec 8th 2009 1:45PM
Thanks, and yes, it was necessary.
Andrew Brake Dec 8th 2009 1:45PM
Good stuff, especially for those of us not on the ptr.
Wittgenstein Dec 8th 2009 2:32PM
Thanks - I was wondering where the new instances were at!
Knob Dec 8th 2009 1:48PM
It was difficult to find on the PTR because those that had the Crusader rank could not see the NPCs and the entrance. It was phased out and even on the very last build of the PTR, you had to have the Battle Before The Citadel daily quest in your questlog in order to see the ICC raid portal.
Knob Dec 8th 2009 1:49PM
That's supposed to be "Crusader title" in the above post, not rank. :(

I am glad someone took the time to do this. I am known in my guild for getting lost.

I am excited for the realms to come back up!!!!!

Yes, the intro quest... "Go find Sylvannas at the side entrance of ICC." Okay... hop on the trusty flying mount and fly from Dalaran to ICC.
20 minutes later... I finally find the entrance.
Let's see if blizzard takes my feedback about adding "West" side to the quest text. :P
Stouph Dec 8th 2009 1:51PM
Great vid!! I was just wondering that today!!!
Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!
jackfinished Dec 8th 2009 1:52PM
Would a preemptive "Thanks" be enough?
Grouch Dec 8th 2009 1:56PM
Thanks for the vid. Only thing that would make it better was a quick view of the map. Still, I appreciate the help as always!!

At :22 you look down and to your left. looks like we took a battering ram and cracked open the front gate of icecrown. Is that where we enter the raid instance?
Fluswine Dec 15th 2009 9:40AM
Yes, that's the ICC raid instance. After being lock-summoned into ICC, I had to go outside to see where I am, and that's where it was.
eROKv Dec 8th 2009 1:56PM
the music in that clip is friggin awesome - thats from ingame somewhere?
