The Horde logo is better. It's cleaner and more distinctive. The Alliance logo has too much fine detail. I think the old Lordaeron L glyph (which of course is also used by the Scarlet Crusade) looks better than the lion's head.

The lion's head was the symbol of the human nation of Azeroth in WC2. It would probably make more sense for the Alliance logo to be something that isn't tied to one of the 5 races.
