"The tank will not wait for you to drink between pulls. " As an alt tank this was some advice I was given by a more experienced tank as a way of managing over keen DPSers.

The trick is make sure your healer is ready and if a DPS needs to regen mana let them do it as you are building up threat on the mob(s) to be killed next.
