Hmmm, what are the odds I would dc for no apparent reason just as I was reading this post? Kinda odd if you ask me.....no way, it just happened again while I was typing this. Ok somebody doesn't want me to know about the in-game fixes. lol.

They also "adjusted" the price of the Star's Tears *Clears Throat*

Another unmentioned "fix"...they nerfed rep gains in ICC. Large mobs that used to give 75 rep give 15 now. My guild was a bit disappointed last night to see that from Deathwhisper to Saurfang there is no rep (besides the 1 big dragon) unless you kill the optional trash.

Nerfing LM seems weird, it wasn't that tough on tank healers. The only thing i can think of is it is to make it more pugable for the weekly raid quest.
At the risk of one of those QQing scrubs yelling for easier content - why not nerf 10man lady deathwhisper instead? :P
Morcego Dec 15th 2009 12:20AM
You are kidding, right ? My group found Lady Deathwhisper to be the easiest encounter on 10man.
mike Dec 15th 2009 12:39AM
In 25 man it was the opposite.
Marrowgar was easy, Deathwhisper is much harder.
If I were a betting man I would guess they nerf 25 man Deathwhisper next and/or fix Deathbringer so you can't get rid of the Blood debuff.
Sorro Dec 15th 2009 1:44AM
We one-shot 25-man Marrogar, but Deathwhisper is giving us fits. Getting all those adds under control is very difficult, not to mention getting them DPSed down fast enough to turn attention to the shield on LD.
10-man Deathwhisper, my raid took her down in 2 tries, no worries.
There is a huge difficulty gap between 10 and 25 for LD.

Sorro: I assume you're running 3 tanks in 25s? Don't even bother putting one on Lady Deathwhisper until phase 2. Your two strongest tanks go on the side alcoves, and your weakest one goes in the back, along with your best Hunter. Put Rogues on Deathwhisper, and maybe a couple other DPS (whatever you can spare without losing speed on the adds), and profit.
That's how we did it and two-shotted it (first time we didn't realize an add spawned in the far back, lol).
Tridus Dec 15th 2009 5:57AM
Because 10 man Deathwhisper is WAY easier?
Marrowglar didn't scale down that well, he was demolishing tanks. We actually had to 3 healer him, something which we didn't even come close to having to do in the rest of the instance.
Deathwhisper in 10 man? One shot, with alts and friends who had never seen it.
Wyred Dec 15th 2009 6:35AM
No doubt that Marrowgar is easier than Deathwhisper in both 10 and 25, but Marrowgar's tank dmg was stupidly high for a 10 man. I had much easier time healing the tanks in 25 due to having more healers and them taking roughly the same dmg as the 10 man version.

I find it funny when someone in a guild with 25-man gear says how easy a boss in the 10-man is. I would hope so. It's balanced for players a whole tier below you.
ZMES_Matt Dec 15th 2009 10:19AM
LM is easy in general, once everyone understands his very basic mechanics he's a walk in the park.
@Morcego: I think Lady Deathwhisper's difficulty -highly- depends on your raid make up. She was extremely hard for my group who had 1 range DPS and 5 melee DPS (we 2-healed so we could have extra DPS to get through her mana shield faster). I could see a good group with 3-4 ranged DPS though just laughing at Lady Deathwhisper; she's just not melee friendly.

When I said I wanted a new Nerf for Christmas I meant the MAVERICK 6 shooter (clear plz). Why are we getting nerfs already? There are 28 days for people to clear this content and most of us cleared it last Tuesday. Nerfing right off the bat will only create boredom 28 days...wait for it...later.
bushkanaka86 Dec 15th 2009 11:03AM
I am happy for this nerf personally.
We have 2 groups going. The first group, both tanks are in ToC 25 gear, 2750 gear score, and with some good healers, they are able to kill Marrowgar but it is intense. Our 2nd group, we have 2 tanks around 2600 gearscore and try to heal them in painfully intense. The healers have to be on top of their game 110% and even then it is rough to keep the tanks alive.
This nerf will allow our 2nd group the ability to continue clearing content so I vote Yay!
SINisterWyvern Dec 15th 2009 11:18AM
My guild mostly just runs 10s so that's what we're geared for and Marrowgar was our most difficult fight of the 4. Getting everything together for Deathbringer took more tries I think but there weren't wipes because a tank got 2 shotted like Marrowgar. We did end up doing 3 heals and it was still rather close sometimes on tank health. We still did it of course, but man, it was way rough.
Randal Dec 15th 2009 11:38AM
Our group seemed to have more trouble with Deathwhisper than Marrowgar. I did receive a few comments from my wife (also my healer) that I was being hit like a truck by Marrowgar though.
I don't know that either of these fights needed a nerf to be honest. Our guild is a fairly casual "friends" guild and we got both fights down. The wow-heroes gearscore average for our group was 2602.
Sedirex Dec 15th 2009 3:25PM
Marrowgar made me regem EH instead of avoidance. 1k down the drain that will never be needed. I hope Arthas beats me up or I'll feel like I wasted money.
Shiro_Shishi Dec 15th 2009 12:03AM
one thing that's different, that struck me has weird, is that you can now mount in the Pools of Spirit in Thunder Bluff
Swifteye Dec 15th 2009 12:29AM
Could it be because this was the only portal drop-off area that forced you to dismount upon arrival and they wanted to keep it fairer?
I'm not asking to be a jerk; I honestly don't know and was trying to guess. I can't remember all of the capital city portal drop-off locations to be honest, but of the ones I *do* remember, all of them seem to be open areas where you can stay on your mount. TB was the only one I can remember offhand that dismounted you, and it was always a pain in the butt.
zweitblom Dec 15th 2009 12:39AM
Ironforge, Stormwind and Darnassus all dismount you. On Alliance side Exodar is the only portal target area that does not.
