Blizzard investigating login issues [Updated]

Those of you who are able to get in, we salute you! The rest of us will wish we were in-game, starting our Feast of Winter Veil activities.
We'll keep you up to date of any further developments.
Update 2:29pm: I and many others are now able to login. No official update at this time. Also, authenticators had nothing to do with it.

Not Fun!!!! I hope they fix this before my raid tonight it's my one shot to hit ICC with my guild for the next couple of weeks due to the holidays.

I didnt have that particular error, but get the ''unable to validate game version'' everytime when i log in, have to retry for 3-4 times then it works
something is broken i think!

I thought there was something odd about the login server being busy. Usually it can handle the mad rush to login the second the servers come up. I guess today it had a mental breakdown.

That brings to mind an issue I was running into earlier this week on Hyrdaxis. Upon logging in, I was greeted with a message along the lines of "Server is full". Luckily the message quickly went away and I was able to get in, but it was a rather scary piece of information.

It's gotten a *little* better. Before it was bombing right as I entered my password, but now I get to enter my authenticator ID as well before it bombs.

I just got the mobile authenticator for the corehound pup, hope this isn't an authenticator issue.

i wonder why on the calendar it said winter veil started at 8 am,if they were gonna do maintenance til 1 pm pst?And now it's gonna be longer til some of us can start the event, typical Blizzard on a Tuesday here lately
