Updated Armory app features Find an Upgrade, saved talent builds

The one big feature is that "Find an Upgrade" now works on the mobile app -- you can search directly in the app for a gear upgrade for any equipment slot on your character. That's a nice bonus; it means that while you're sitting on the bus with your iPhone, you can look through your gear, and figure out what you're going to be upgrading to in that waist slot the next time your guild heads up into Icecrown. I'd still like to see a little more integration with the game itself (a few MMO companies have hinted that they're pushing for more integrated iPhone tie-ins), but since the app is called Mobile Armory, and yes, is still free, I can't complain too much.

Hmm...Strangely enough, they did not add a "tentative" option to the calendar. Very strange. But whatever- Saving talent builds is always useful.
I wish the find-an-upgrade feature had an option to filter out all of the arena gear that I'll never ever get and gear from certain raids that I won't get for a very long time. XD

The "upgrade" feature is completely fail.
My fresh 80 paladin tank is wearing item level 175 Tempered Saronite Bracers. I looked at the gear upgrade options ... apparently there are 2 upgrades for me:
1. item level 175 Tempered Saronite Bracers (seems more like a side grade to me :) )
2. item level 277 Bracers of Dark Reckoning (from heoric ICC)
Shit if I had of know all tanks are still running around in blue bracers I would have have made a tone more of them while levelling my blacksmithing.

Same thing happen to me when I was trying to find something to replace Wrath green bracers (at level 70). I wanted to see if any blue bracers were coming up in any quests or dungeons around my level. It would only list Outland items as upgrades.

My account was hacked last week, the day after the patch dropped (still waiting to see if any of my deleted toons and pilfered gear will be restored), and I'm a paranoid, fairly intelligent, Mac internet user who doesn't visit porn sites, click suspicious links, or download illegal content.
A friend suggested that this App, which I did have on my iPhone and often prompted me to enter my login info, may have been the chink in my armor.
Anyone else hear anything to this effect? I've since deleted the app from my mobile and installed an authenticator after confirming a clean system and restoring/resetting my battlenet account. Prior to this summer, I did rarely play WoW on my old PC when the Mac was rendering files for my video editing work, so I suppose that may have been where the security breach happened, but that was months ago. Just wondering if there was any credence to the app being a possible security risk.
Bored as hell after a week of waiting for Blizzard's "specialist" to assess my situation, and bummed that I haven't been able to try out the Dungeon Finder or take part in Winter Veil festivities.

as a fellow mac-user with this app, i've never heard any rumors of this. sorry you got hacked, and i have no idea whether it's the chink in your armor you suspect or not. i have an authenticator as well, and i recommend it — as you know, you can't be too careful.

"save and load custom talent builds (though unfortunately it doesn't look like there's any way to bring these into the game automatically"
if you are just looking for this functionality in game, I highly recommend "Talented"
it lets you build talents, save them, NAME THEM, auto save inspected talent builds, 3 pane width view, like when youa re looking at the armory and best of all:
import from URL. which lets you import a build from wow armory or wowhead. so much win in one addon.

forgot the link to it (I received no money for endorsing this product), I just love it.)

Looks pretty good. The character selection upgrade is really nice, as are the new sound effects.
Find-an-upgrade feature seems to be pretty good. Guess I don't use the one on the real armory enough to know the mobile versions shortcomings, but it seems good to me.
I just hope that this upgrade fixed the problem with the app suddlenly quiting for no reason. That was annoying, and made me not want to bother using it.
All in all, looks like good upgrade. And sorry to all the Android users...guess you'll just have to wait.
