Waiting it out until the group disbands might be a valid way of skipping the deserter debuff, but unless you absolutely hate the instance and refuse to run it, simply requeue. This will put you back at the FRONT of the queue for more members instead of waiting another 10~15 minutes to get a different random dungeon, which will probably be the same dungeon you just deserted, thanks to Blizzard's awesome "Random" Number Generator (I can hear riots of laughter going off at Blizz HQ and the sobs of anybody who's done gathering quests where the last item JUST WON'T DROP)
