The quest chain is well worth the effort to obtain the hilt. Mind you I'd probably not pay thousands of gold for it, but the story is one of those rare moments in WoW where you actually seem to be interacting with the environment. Of course the weapon is beneficial as well, but for me personally the chance to see the content far outweighs a piece of loot. I hope those who want to get an opportunity. Keep workin' on it folks and you'll get yours.
