That would certainly be convenient, especially for those of us with several lev 80 alts. Far too often I've had to watch an item be disenchanted while wishing I had come on my other character that needed that upgrade. Also with this functionality, players with one character doing top-end content could get enough random extra drops to gear out multiple alts without having to actually play them, and where's the fun in having alts if there's not point playing them? Personally, I would do the opposite, run loot pinatas like Ony or VoA on 5 level 80s and funnel all of those upgrades to a single alt who would become geared far faster than anyone who did not have alts could hope to achieve. The likely reason Blizzard doesn't do this isn't because it is unbalancing, but rather because it reduces the amount of time players need to play the game before they fully 'win the game'. That would lead to more canceled accounts, quicker.

Oh God yes. I'm so sick of seeing fantastic tank gear sharded whenever I'm on my Shaman & Lock mains, when my poor dk tank can't get a heroic group, or emblems, because he only has 25k health. Can I roll on gear for my alts, then use emblems to send it to them? Please?

25k health is plenty for heroics (except the new heroics, of course) as long as you're def-capped. Anyone telling you otherwise needs a swift vote-kick to the nads.

@SnuzzleI tend to agree with you, but I have a little story from my random PUG experience last night that seems relevant to your point.I was in heroic GDK. The tank was a DK with 24k health. At first glance I figured I would just roll with it, and not talk about his health pool unless it became a problem. He made a few mistakes, and judging from his mix of blue and green gear, I don't think he was defense capped. I suppose it could have been the spiky nature of DK avoidance tanking, though.Still, if you're rocking www.wowhead.com/?item=43838 you might want to work on Seal of the Pantheon in regular HOL.By the end he was a little cocky (or at least that was my impression). On the last pull before the final boss, we came up the stairs and there were two trolls at the top -- both mounted on rhinos. Instead of going to the left or right and pulling them individually, he walked straight down the middle and pulled them both. I healed him through it, and the elemental shammy in the group acknowledged the "nice heals". However, I don't think the tank fully appreciated what had happened. If you're a new tank, I respect that. I don't want to discourage new tanks. My pally tank was new once, and I understand the discrimination that goes on when you're rocking 24-25k health. However, KNOW YOUR LIMITS. There's nothing worse than a tank thinking "I pulled those two mobs before the boss last time without any problems -- why do we keep wiping when I do it now?"TLDR; Good healing can create cocky tanks. Yes, you can tank with 24-25k health, but you should do it carefully.
