The Daily Quest: Stealing from Icecrown

- WoW in an Hour really enjoys doing the new raid weekly quest -- nice raid rewards, under an hour of play.
- Chill of the Grave has some great suggestions for Death Knight gear to be found in the new 5-mans.
- HTFTMFW takes you through quick strategies for the first four bosses in Icecrown.
- Starnaglethron has a declaration of love for the Dungeon Finder (which most of you would probably echo).
- And finally, Pike has some bad news for you Glyph of Bestial Wrath addicts. There's a new glyph in town and he'll up your DPS.

thanks for the shout out, wow dot com!
I would just like to clarify the name of our little site as you forgot the "for the" part:
HTFTMFW.com

I have a love/hate relationship with the weekly raid quest. As a fairly new level 80, I'm still trying to see all of the early wrath raid content. Unfortunately, the last two weeks have been Patchwerk and Noth the Plaguebringer. Good luck finding anyone who actually wants to run the whole raid (or even a full wing) and isn't already locked to it.
And then people will lie and say they're willing to clear more than the first boss and drop out the second it's down. Now, you're screwed because you can't exactly advertise for a Naxx run with the weekly boss already down, can you?

Uh... find 9 or 24 other new 80s to finish? Most of them should be happy for even a partial run, assuming they want to see it. Though a lot of 80s are zooming straight for the farming of badges these days.

I was under the impression that DW DK tanks would want two slow weapons for tanking to reduce the chance of parry gibbing yourself. I'm aware that if you have the right amount of hit rating and expertise it isn't a problem, but don't you also reduce the amount of threat generated because the lower weapon damage?

Not so much parry gibbing, but fast weapons producing less threat can be a problem. Of course, Runeforging helps compensate for that, so it'd be possible for a Death Knight tank to grab two slow one-handers (say, Nighttime) and put the Nerubian Carapace rune on them. Or Rune of Swordbreaking if you can get defense-capped without your weapon.

Yeah, i'm hoping to get myself 2 Nighttime and putting the Carapace RF on them. And since i'm an Orc DK it's all the better.
Now I just have to figure out what Expertise and Hit Rating I need to shoot for to not miss all the time or get parried to death.

The parry expertise cap is 56, but, and this is important, any expertise under 26 WILL NOT HELP with parry-gibbing.

Boy Schramm, your working hard on your last day. I'd probably just phone it in.

"nice raid rewards, under an hour of play."
Waiting for the raid to fill for Naxx10 took much longer than the actual run itself. I ran in and popped a stone when two others showed up. Grabbed everyone, blew through the trash, and the boss itself took 2-3 minutes maybe. I would have stayed for more, but someone popped a port, and that was that.
