Im suprised that 3.2 was biggest news. Guess people were anticipating more.Remember the epic ideas about "fighting old bosses"? Talking to dude and doing bosses in any order you wanted? With tons and tons of amazing arena PvE ideas. Sounds like when Terminator 3 came and the fanstories pre-movie were much more better than the movies story itself (yes I took that quote from avgn, forgive me).I think you over exaggerated 3.2 a little bit by going that "huge update to the game, with lots and lots of player interest". I dont think it was huge nor it kept peoples interests. I saw whole guilds just collapse due sheer boredom 3.2 came up with and then they come back in 3.3 and run heroics to get progress they came late, wise for them.. 30 minute raid? Heroic version taking just double of it when getting hang of it? In my opinion 3.2 was the worts patch in whole game I have experienced.I'm sure someone out there disagrees but if you look at the content that came with it it was pretty shaky.New pvp BG? I loved it,sure. Reminded me of games like battlefield. Too bad people didnt like it and now its pretty silent and when its run people are so bored they whine on chat or forums how its "lol PVG, player versus gate qq".5man? Yeah we know the story of this one.. joustiiing!Raid? Uh..yeah.. 5 bosses.. I guess someone liked that. 4/5 encounters were bit.. you know. They didnt even make new models for the bosses apart from anubarak and the tier pieces looked identical. I mean come on.Flame me if you will, its still my own opinion. Im sure theres people who disagree. Im fine with that, as matter of fact I want to hear peoples HONEST OPINIONS about 3.2. Not fanboy babble about "they have worked super hard to keep us busy by making fitting to lore 3.2 raid and 5man" stuff..I mean.. how can you *slap* And yes, I totally love 3.1 and 3.3. They are awesome and ICC 5mans alone kinda little bit makes up for the ToC.

I completely agree with Valt; patch 3.2 was one of the most disappointing patches in recent memory (aside from 2.2 and the in-game VoiP). The argent tournament solo content got stale quickly and the instance, though a fast way to get badges, is a bit on the boring side was well. Jousting was not that fun either. Now admittedly, I loved the addition of dual-specs, the new emblem system, and the new druid forms, but the content itself was severely lacking. I lost a lot of interest in the game after 3.2, and it's only with 3.3 and the new dungeon finder and instances (which are actually fun; ToC wasn't that fun) that I have regained interest in the game.I'm actually very disappointed that 3.2 was on the list at all, let alone number one. Come on, wow.com, really?

Agreed wholeheartedly. Patch 3.2 was worst content patch since 2.2 (I'm seeing a pattern here >.>).Raid and dungeon in one room. Four resets just to keep people busy and gear up until 3.3. All four can be done in one raiding evening ~.~ Such a disappointment after they promised a "3.2 surprise raid" back in october last year.Although it did introduce new dailys, so did 2.4, and this one did it along with awesome raiding instance. On the other hand, debatedly, introduction of IoC was a surprise, but I don't really think it makes it the tops story of 2k9.

I think you're forgetting all the extra changes that 3.2 had, though, which would make it more anticipated. I mean, sure, not everyone was super thrilled with the new BG or the new instance or the new raid, but the mount changes, new druid forms, and other non-raid things were really what had people going, don't you think? I mean, even the little extras- like more mailboxes and the extra forge/anvil in Org. Or the Ravasaur trainer (FINALLY). Potions stacking to 20. Chef's hat improved to make your cooking faster. Epic Gems. Heirloom Cold Weather Flying. The new raptor mini pets.Just because the raid content wasn't up to snuff doesn't mean that the patch sucked. No, it wasn't my favorite, but honestly 3.3 kind of blew everything else out of the water at the end of it all. I do know that when 3.2 was on the verge I was pretty damned excited and it wasn't because of a new raid. And I suspect the new druid forms alone were what made the patch the biggest wow.com story of 2009
