Breakfast Topic: Which Warcraft moment would make a great cutscene?

Earlier this month, an interview was conducted with Jeff Kaplan by Phil Kollar of Game Informer where they talked shop about World of Warcraft. One of the items that piqued my interest was that a new cutscene was being included in patch 3.3. I'm sure we can guess that it has something to do with Icecrown Citadel (and Arthas).
I know the Wrathgate cinematic itself was a big hit. Blizzard is certainly no stranger to creating movies. There's the Ulduar trailer, the Call of the Crusade trailer, and the Fall of the Lich king trailer.
Remember the Sunwell Plateau? That one is my favorite out of them all.
I'm sure there will be new cinematics to come. But if you could pick a moment in the game, what would you like to see in cinematic form?

Tell your guild they're morons and that I said so. Why are they even playing the game if they don't care about the lore? I wouldn't play a game that of which's story didn't interest me at least.

Vaelastrasz engage... that dialog deserves a well done cinematic

Personally, I'd love to see the moment when Millhouse Manastorm makes his triumphant return to WoW by instantly liberating Gnomeregan turned into a cinematic. Heck, make a CG cinematic out of while we're at it. Finally we'll have CG gnomes!

I don't want any more cutscenes inside the game. Crashes every time.
I already lost loot because Blizzard messed up in Halls of Reflection and cause people to crash getting on the airship. And that's something I can choose to repeat another day, or hope to get again randomly. Do I want that to happen in a raid instance? Where more than likely I had to struggle through several boss fights along with 9 or 24 other people?
No.
Any number of things could be done dramatically. Hell somebody could do a movie about Wrynn going to the toilet and it'd be interesting.
But do it outside the game. Not inside.

Lol at all the people who would rather downrank than reply.

Your post is full of whine and offtopic. Hence downranked. If you want better rankings make better posts.

Holy crap, another Sunwell fan. That trailer still rocks my socks.
"It was called ... The Sunwell ..." [epic, swirling music] = win.

The defeat of Algalon. Looking at a visual representation of how the Titans do things with worlds to recreate them would be awesome!

I would like to see Tirion's trial and exile as a cutscene, entered by dialogue option, when you meet him out in Eastern Plaguelands. He's become such a huge lore figure now that he really deserves a little pizazz added to his earlier quests.

While yes, it has been made into a cinematic, the resolution of the quest that causes Sylvanas to break into song. You know the one.
As for an Alliance counterpart to that... I don't know, the Draenai "graduation" ceremony I guess.
The Bronzebeard reunion in Storm Peaks and Thrall's family reunion in Nagrand.
Swifteye Dec 26th 2009 12:37PM
Huh. You know, while the Draenei "graduation ceremony" is neat, I don't think it really merits a cutscene. On the other hand, I kinda wish it *did* have a cutscene... not necessarily because it deserves one, but simply because the way they do it now kinda spoils and cheapens the ending for people just questing through and seeing the gathering before it's "their" turn, you know?
*shrugs*

"...the Draenai "graduation" ceremony..."
This has to be one of my single-favorite moments ever in WoW. It was so unexpected, and so well done that I truly felt that I had accomplished something special.

Stepping through the Dark Portal for the first time.
When Thrall travels to Outland.
Mini cinematics for completing long questlines like the Scythe of Elune (if it's ever finished) or Darrowshire.
Also for certain bosses, like Ironaya in Uldaman.

After the first bosses in the Halls of Reflection, as you come up upon Sylvanas fighting Arthas. Seeing that from the hallway was epic on it's own, but to bring in Guild Wars style cutscenes where your characters are in the scene, with a shot of your group running up the hallway to the door to come upon this would be awesome. I dont know what Jaina's doing there Alliance side, but that'd be pretty neat to see in a cut scene too, I imagine. Not sure of how Guild Wars does their scenes, but having your characters in the scenes always made them so much more epic.
End of Alliance atunement to Onyxia would have been pretty damn cool too. I agree with the other posts talking of Thrall 'going home' to Nagrand, too. First time taking a zep/boat to Northrend, or first time entering a city (especially if they managed to incorporate what you get in Guild Wars). Even something like the forging of the stupid key to Stratholme should have a short, twenty second cutscene of it being made because of -how far you have to go for the stupid thing-.
In Raid cutscenes poses a big danger, though, even as epic as it might be...I've a friend who's computer manages to crash every time that the Wrathgate cutscene starts, to have most of your raid possibly disconnect or crash could likely be a nightmare. Maybe something you get to witness after the fighting and looting is done as you leave or turn something in.
