Breakfast Topic: Lamented Mechanics

For instance, I wish there were tanking fist weapons. I love, love, love fist weapons. I'd settle for a fist that had hit and expertise on it, even. But while I'm willing to switch to a slow main hander when I have a full rage bar to dump as Devastate threat (or for huge Cleaves when tanking lots of trash) it's just not really suitable for a good 80 to 90% of my time tanking. And yet, how I love fist weapons. I have an enhancement shaman, of course, and yet fists almost never drop for him (he's using axes at the moment) while they rain from the heavens and are almost constantly sharded when I'm tanking. I've taken to just picking them up and using them for fun. I understand there will most likely never be a dedicated tanking fist, as the only class that could use it would be a warrior (Paladins and DKs can't use fist weapons, Druids can but would almost never use one over a staff since they can't use shields).
Similarly, whenever I go elemental I always end up drooling over caster swords, and there have been a few times I've heard paladin healers sigh at a dagger drop. So what I turn to ask you is, what do you wish you could use? What drop can you either not equip or just can't effectively use?

I'd actually prefer if each class could use fewer weapons.
It always seems a bit silly to me after playing Warcraft III to see a Paladin wielding a sword, or even an axe, when obviously the only correct weapon is an enormous hammer.
Death Knights on the other hand, look ridiculous wielding blunt weapons and should only be allowed to use ones with blades.
Maces and Axes are by no means stealthy weapons and rogues should be barred from using them.
Warriors should stick with swords, axes and maces.
Druids should use fist weapons (tanking ones) and staves (and caster daggers).
Shamans should get fists, axes and maces (and staves and daggers for casters).
There should be far more useful staves for all casters because they just look more "mage-y" than a sword or a dagger, a weapon which could be slightly useful in close range combat.
Hunters should stick to swords and daggers.
Of course this is far less balanced than it is now, but those are the kinds of weapons I always try and get my characters to equip.

While I've already commented on this topic, I've just had another thought that wasn't related to my previous string of comments, so I'm sticking it here on the end.
Also, this doesn't have to do with stuff that CAN'T be equipped, just an odd random gripe about starting weapons...
I think it's incredibly stupid that Tauren hunters start with guns as their ranged weapons. I don't think guns really fit *any* of the Horde, but the Tauren least of all! They're supposed to be THE most naturalist race of the Horde; why do they distrust Gnomes for their use of technology yet embrace guns?
Yeah, I know you can just go somewhere else and train Bows, but I seriously think Tauren would abhor using guns from the start. If a Horde race HAS to start with guns to make everything even, why not the Orcs, since they're the most buddy-buddy with the tinkering Goblins?

My son used to tank Naxx10 with Greed (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=37693) equipped. He would switch to an actual taking weapons when pugging '25, but on guild runs, he'd use Greed. He was still way over cap at that point

As someone who mostly plays dwarves, I would give anything at all for dwarf priests (and eventually dwarf mages) to be able to use guns instead of wands. Okay, so we'd need caster guns, but I still maintain that all dwarves should be able to use guns, priest or no.
