The middle square (traditionally a given, for those who are unfamiliar with bingo) could have been "There is a DK in your group", and everyone would probably still have it.And for the squares about blue gear - unless it's the heroics that don't drop 200 blues and epic (TOC5, FOS, POS, HOR), there's no reason that a player can't be in blues and still do well enough to kill the bosses, survive the hits while holding aggro, or keep the tank alive. The original heroics were designed for players in blues (and maybe a crafted epic or two), not for players geared enough to faceroll Naxxramas in an hour or two. In other words, if you've been doing your quest chains, group quests, and regular dungeons as you've leveled to 80, your gear should be enough to kill the bosses in COS. Mind you, you won't be able to complete the timed run, but it will be enough to kill the bosses as needed.

I would make the middle square "DPS uses absolutely none of their non-DPS skills". As a mage, it absolutely makes me cry to see other mages do nothing but mindlessly hit pew pew buttons. I de-curse, I spellsteal buffs, I counterspell caster mobs, I hit my PoM+sheep macro on loose mobs making a beeline for other clothies or the healer. That is also part of my job as a mage. Hilariously, even doing all that on top of DPS, I still routinely beat other mages on the meters. Yes, DPS is brought to groups to DPS, but particularly as mages we have a massive toolkit of nice situational shizz to help a group. And most classes have *something* they could be doing to help in addition to pew pew.Few things chap my ass as much as watching mobs heal themselves because my counterspell's on CD, when I'm grouped with a rogue, DK and shammy.

My rule of thumb is this:A) An undergeared tank is going to make the instance more difficult.B) An undergeared healer is going to make the instance slightly more difficult, but not as much as an undergreared tank.C) An undergeared DPS will have no effect on the difficulty of the instance.D) A bad player will make the instance much, much, much more difficult, regardless of gear. With the possible exception of D, none of these are going to make the instance impossible.

@KylenneAmen to that. It bugs me when mages don't spellsteal, but instead pewpew, when they could be getting themselves even HIGHER on the list if they were spellstealing. Like in Nexus, or TOC5, the haste/damage buffs that the mages/Ambrose put up. Or (also in Nexus) the little crystal flowers have a buff that you can steal that lets you do 2% extra damage...and stacks up to 10 times....
