WoW Moviewatch: Erunno's Christmas Story

Erunno's Christmas Story won the WoW Model Viewer Christmas contest. It's a comedy video about one elf's brave struggle to find gifts for a Christmas story. His adventure takes him across the world of Azeroth, and features a dozen or so cameos of other, well-known machinimators.
Accord to Erunno over on his Myndflame post, he was experimenting with different techniques and styles from the anime industry. He wanted to take a look at how well those techniques would work out in machinima. I think Erunno nailed it pretty well, and I found the movie to be pretty fun and entertaining. Still, opinions will probably vary. I'm really curious to see how Erunno might use the styles in future videos, consider how well Erunno's Christmas Story seems to have succeeded.

At the end I thought, "Aw, how nice. The guy gave him his presents".
Then I saw him tied up and ROFLd.

A little slow in parts, but the ending(s) were fantastic. Overall it was well done, especially considering how little dialogue was used.

Aww! I liked it! And it was very pally-like for that guy to come find his friend in the snow...and very hunter-like for the elf to (Spoiler).

+5 points for originality! I really enjoyed that, although it did drag a bit. The facial expressions and all the little effects like the sweat drop really made this video stand out to me, as I've never seen those things done in a WoW machinima. The overall look of the video was also top notch with very good story telling considering the amount of dialogue and humor. I hope that more videos pick up on adding these sorts of facial expressions as that really made the video for me. I'd say it could have been a bit shorter as I started getting bored somewhere in the middle, but other than that, I loved it!
