The WoW Insider Show podcast continued along its very merry way this Saturday, and a good time was had by all. Guest co-host Matt Rossi and I discussed our favorite WoW.com stories from the first half of 2009 (with more to come this Saturday), talked a little about Icecrown progression and gating, and weighed in on the quality of Wrath's various patches. We also discussed some very romantic Saber Lash fight strategies, as you might guess by the title of this week's show.
Thanks to everyone who stopped by to listen this week -- we've still got a few kinks to work out with the new format, but we're pretty pleased with this week's show and next week's should be even better. As always, if you have a question or comment for the show, email us at theshow@wow.com and you might just hear it on the air.

OK so to be more clear, Sacco was ok for his first time. Rossi on the other hand was completely unlistenable. If I wanted to hear snarky elitism I would listen to the instance.
"If I wanted to hear snarky elitism I would listen to the instance."
LMAO, what "The Instance" podcast do you listen to? Because the one I listen to... the only one I know of... would be the exact opposite of Elitist. It's an extremely approachable podcast for players at any level of ability.
I do miss Mike and Turpster, but I actually liked the content of this show a LOT better than the previous ones. I LOVE that the people hosting it have actually been in raids and know what they're talking about in there. I'm not exactly a hard core raider, but I have downed the 4 bosses in ICC 10, and it's nice that the show hosts can actually talk about that. Mike and Turp were great and all, but half the time I felt like they were talking about stuff I couldn't relate to at all.
I just got a chance to listen to it and I thought overall it was a good show. I was a bit skeptical at first due to the changes, but you seemed to have enough content prepared and brought a new livelihood to the show. Even though I liked the old show, it is very nice to see it get a facelift. I like the way short discussions were had about random event, npc's, etc, yet I felt lore was talked about too much. I would rather see the podcast talk more about the community and what they are doing in general. It is always nice to hear about good or bad pugs and how real people deal with them. I've been in these myself and can relate. Keep up the good work boys!
I thought overall it was ok; however, it seemed kid of hodgepodge. No real format, etc, but I think that that might just be due to the fact it was the first show without Mike and the Turpster. Keep it up guys, you'll get it eventually.
I am a very long time listener of this show and personally as far as the Sacco/Schramm thing I think Sacco will do just as well if not better due to his past experience as a GM and Mike really didn't bring a lot to the table that Sacco can't match with some practice. The real loss for the show is Turpster. I would like to see some sort of interjection of humor weekly as it works very well. As for the commentary on this weeks show i loved all the shaman talk and I don't know what people's issues with Rossi are but I have always loved his writing on this site as well as his commentary on the show. PFFT Buzz off to those of you that dont like him..
I am a long time listener of the show too. I could tell that these guys felt the pressure at the beginning - they have big shoes to fill. Once they relaxed and started talking about why they love the game that I do, I relaxed and really enjoyed it too.
Good job guys. I'll continue listening every week :)
like most listeners i was skeptical about listening to the show with the departure of both mike AND turpster, but i was pleasantly surprised with the job sacco and rossi did, especially for their first time running the show.
There's hope! :) When Rossi talks game mechanics I love it, but when he goes off topic I'm not as interested. But did really enjoy them actually talking about the game and various different things!
So here's to having it improve as we move forward.
Rossi and Socco are both amazing fountains of information and I deeply respect them as such. However, the show has for sure changed from a community centered focus, to a top endgame raiding discussion. I think losing Turpster was too big a blow for me... I couldn't even finish this week's show.
Ah well... Much like BRK departing, it was fun while it lasted.

I miss the same stupid jokes Turpster tells every show and mike's retarded grandad mannerisms. Its just not the same.
I'll keep tuning it but it's just not as entertaining.
