There are a lot of quest lines - never mind instances - that are problematic lore wise.
There is an alliance quest line in Arathi Highlands for example where the character chances upon a large crystal, and gets a plea to free its 'princess' prisoner. So the character quests along, destroys some guardian, gets sent to Ironforge, where the next quest npc reveals himself to be a member of the Cult of the Damned. Whom the character has no problem with accepting a quest from!
WTF?
Our character clearly has no morals. If blizzard put in an NPC with a yellow ! and a quest to kill our grandmother, im sure 90% of players would do it, because.
