Around Azeroth: A fishful of romance
While venturing into Icecrown Citadel, death knight Joanus of <Inner Circle> on Kilrogg-EU discovered this disturbing message spelled out on the ground with well-placed fish feasts. "The biggest questions to be asked here are who put this there? Why?" asked Joanus. "Is this a message from Jaina to Arthas? What does the Lich King think of this? How long has it been there? I guess the only way to find out is to head to the top of the Citadel and ask him personally." Yeah, good luck with that.
Do you have any unusual, beautiful or interesting World of Warcraft images that are just collecting dust in your screenshots folder? We'd love to see them on Around Azeroth! Sharing your screenshot is as simple as e-mailing aroundazeroth@wow.com with a copy of your shot and a brief explanation of the scene. You could be featured here next!
Remember to include your player name, server and/or guild if you want it mentioned. Please include the word "Azeroth" in your post so it does not get swept into the spam bin. We strongly prefer full screen shots without the UI showing -- use alt-Z to remove it. Please, no more battleground scoreboards, Val'kyr on mounts, or pictures of the Ninja Turtles in Dalaran. Older screenshots can be found here.

Wow, on my server that's easily about 300 gold worth of fish feasts (a stack of 20 goes for around 200 gold, +/- a little).
Karilyn Jan 3rd 2010 11:25AM
300g isn't really a big deal for most longtime players.
I don't really know anybody ingame who has less than 20,000g, and a lot of people are pushing 50,000g or even 100,000g
300g is the new 30s.

LOL! I'm sure the hardcore raiders on my server and even in my guild have that much, but most of the people *I* know well certainly don't. Personally, I get as high as 10,000 from time to time...and then I buy epic flight for an alt or something, and down it goes again. But, as they say, your mileage may vary. It's still a lot of money for many people, or hours and hours of fishing for anyone. :-)

@Karilyn
Then I'm sure that the people you know aren't the casual, or non-raiding kind. The largest amount of gold that I've ever had was that necessary to purchase epic flying, and I've never had anything close to that since. People say all the time that it's easy to get gold, and it is, if you're really really trying to get it, but most people who go about their time normally will never see that amount.

wow, if i drop below 10k i panic and go do dailies on all my alts
Nazgûl Jan 3rd 2010 10:34AM

is there anyway to filter out the Around Azeroth articles? i love wow.com, but this part of the blog is a waste of time.
Zantrix Jan 3rd 2010 11:21AM
Comments like yours are a waste of everyone's time, fortunately there is a way to filter out your stuff. THUMBS DOWN.
Direwoe Jan 3rd 2010 11:38AM
Wait... You don't have to read each and every post on a blog? Phew! I was finding it hard going reading all the arena/mage/warrior/rogue/craft/shammy/etc posts that have no interest or relevance to me.
Thanks for letting me know I can just 'scroll past them' - am I saying that right?
/Sarcasm
Shizukera Jan 3rd 2010 11:38AM
Yes, there is - it's called the scroll bar. :P
Agony Jan 3rd 2010 12:53PM
No.
There is NO way to filter them.

Yes Bobbyd, it's called not bothering to click it when you read the title.
Shadowwind Jan 3rd 2010 11:07AM
Just checking, this IS player-created, correct? This doesn't look appropriate for ICC, but Bliz HAS been known to throw surprises into the game before...
Katalliaan Jan 3rd 2010 11:09AM
Player-created. Someone must have had 28 fish feasts they didn't feel like using or selling.
kooda Jan 3rd 2010 11:07AM
thats 28 fish feasts full of love
