Sunday Morning Funnies: Random mrgls
This week's list is compact, but don't let that fool you; many of the usual suspects have delivered despite the holidays. You can bet that next week's list will be massive!- Torment of the Week: Frozen Investments.
- Check out Guilded Age's 2010 Preview.
- Teh Gladiators: Enter the Eerily Familiar King.
- Daily Quests: In the Spirit of Giving. Daily Quests: Resolution: Impossible.
- NPC: Of Avatar and Avatars. NPC: A New Service. NPC: 2010 Predictions. That last line got me laughing! For the history behind it, see an earlier Sunday Morning Funnies published in May of 2009.
- Beyond the Tree: What We Need Is More Noise.
- LFG #317 and #318.
- Cru the Dwarf: All Choked Up.

Seriously who the $@!* thinks NPC is funny or entertaining in any way. I've been checking it out every Sunday for over a year and have not once thought it had anything worth saving about it. I guess it's all opinion of taste. People who thought the movie Bewitched was hilarious I spose would like NPC.

While I agree with your assessment of NPC being a bad "comic" (with no comic value at all), I have to wonder why it took you an entire year to figure this out?
Hone Melgren Jan 3rd 2010 12:30PM
Awwww don't be a hater :(
macster Jan 3rd 2010 1:17PM
That's harsh. NPC's had it's moments, whereas Bewitched had Will Ferrell.
Is it just me that's taken a dislike to Guilded Age?
Tokkar Jan 3rd 2010 6:16PM
I abhorred "Bewitched", but I like NPC, so your analogy needs serious re-assessment.
You're right - it's a matter of taste. If you don't like it, you don't have to read it - but loosing your vitriol against the artist accomplishes...what, exactly? Nothing constructive that I can see, that's for certain.
Instead, all you've done here is to paint yourself in the garish colors of the Internet Douche. Many have come before, many will follow, so I suppose you have a support group at least.

I hated Bewitched. I like NPC.
Drakkenfyre Jan 3rd 2010 12:53PM
Additional, the comic I hate is NO0bs. I have only seen a few that were funny, the rest weren't funny, or made no sense at all.

I really do miss WoWeh.
The Giant Jan 3rd 2010 3:05PM
She'll be back. Just needs to get her wrist, or was it her arm, back into shape first.
Patience is a virtue Mr J, and get well soon Cadistra ^^
Cadychan Jan 3rd 2010 3:22PM
Thanks @The Giant!
Also, @Eric J - WoW Eh will be back up tonight! I'm colouring it right now. ^_^

Great news! just go easy on yourself, we don't need you pushing yourself too far. Definitely willing to wait as long as it takes. :)
Metatron Jan 3rd 2010 4:36PM
What happened to Dark Legacy this week? That is right up there with LFG imo.
Metatron Jan 3rd 2010 7:15PM
Keydar broke his collarbone skiing. Sad day for webcomics. =(

Oh, holy crap! Poor guy! D:
I hope he gets better soon! :(
Azarizotza Jan 3rd 2010 10:12PM
Skiing should be made illegal for depriving us of such art.
Azarizotza Jan 3rd 2010 10:14PM
Speaking of which, I never got my "Cat" tee-shirt for christmas.....
Azarizotza Jan 3rd 2010 5:21PM
I do miss woweh but it's better she get that drawin' arm back to par. Thoughts of her!
Tokkar Jan 3rd 2010 6:27PM
Frozen Investments - never seen that one before. I'll have to read through them, but with this one? Yeah, I most whole-heartedly agree with the sentiment expressed there!
Loved NPC's "new service", and Mary's artistry has gotten progressively better over the year she's been doing this. I hope she's not put off by "suh8lim3" (who created his account TODAY just so he could rag on her, I noticed). To just say "It suxxorr!!!one!!!" is just pointless and stupid. At least say WHAT you don't like about it, and what might need improving to be on par with whatever you consider to be "funny". I mean, yeah, not every posting is going to appeal to everyone. Occasionally she has something I don't care for, but I enjoy the comic overall.
Cady - get your wrist well-lubricated with a nice adult beverage and then give yourself a break. Don't threaten your livelihood (!!!) just because your fans are frothing at the mouth and clawing your front door apart. Mops are cheap, animal control is only a phone call away, and doors can be replaced. :-)

Thanks Tokkar, and everyone still reading NPC. (And continued thanks to Amanda for continuing to include it here, I am always so honored.) Comments like suh8lim3's come with the trade. I appreciate that he kept coming back every week - the page views help with the ad revenue. ;)
Excited for a new WoW Eh! Glad Cadistra is feeling better.
Cadychan Jan 3rd 2010 7:32PM
Thank you for speaking with actual intelligence, instead of out your ass like many trolls do. You're a smart guy. ;)
As for the wrist...meh. It's been a month, it's not getting any better, the holidays are over, and I'm bored. XD
COMICS AHOY!! :D
