I love running dungeons these days, for the most part people are pretty good on there roles. Healer heals, DPS kill, and I tank on my 35 Gnome Warrior.
Every now and then I get a fail group that, by the life of me, can't seem to get the picture. Yesterday I ran a dungeon with a druid/rogue duo. Apparently they were friends because they both felt the need to critique my tanking rotation and talent choices. Believe me I've done the research and I am picking the best talents I can based on some top tanks on my server. Also the druid felt the need to tell me to stop charging into mobs, that it wasn't necessary to do that because it doesn't accomplish anything... what I do is Battle Stance, Charge, as I'm charging hit my macro that switches me between Battle & Dstance so then I'm in Dstance before I even get to the mobs, giving me the advantage of having the mobs facing me away from the group and getting a quick Thunderclap off before some dps starts wacking before I have rage. Practically giving me a head start to avoid goofy dps. (Can't wait till I get the Warbringer Talent) Yes I know how to LoS pull, shoot the caster and duck around the corner. This was in SM: Library for goodness sake, you have to LoS pull in there! Charging and shooting both have there places, pros and even cons, don't want to pull two groups by being too anxious to just LoS pull. So anyways, the druid finally let up on that and the rogue decided he wanted to tank the hound boss. "Let [Rogue] tank him," says the Druid. I charge in, "Ok let's not then," says the Druid. I stated, "I'm here to level not watch people show off." The rogue begins to talk about how easy it is to tank for him. I say, "Yea it's so easy with your one move." (Evasion) He said, "HAHA, I dont need Evasion to tank here." I said, "Grats, you can tank a lowbie instance." He said, "Grats on being a douchebag." Well I was tanking two groups of mobs and a low health one was running away. I saw the douchebag comment and I was fed up. I then dropped group and smiled as I watched the load screen take me to IF.
I had been in several amazing groups, super easy and actually one dps stuck with me the whole time. I logged onto his server and asked, "How'd the rogue tanking go?" "Druid died, Rogue died, myself and Hunter lived, and I refused to rez them both." "Nerd-rage insued." He then immediately dropped group. I logged back onto my tank, Q'd up, and got a insta-instance. Man I love being a tank. :)
