Decent article Dominic, but you did neglect to point out the Doomguard's dispel which is pretty awesome in BG's.But, even then, it is quite a shame that, at the very least, the infernal isn't a guardian instead of a pet. Inferno has all the makings of an incredible AoE spell. But now every build (other than Felguard/Fire Demo hybrids) cannot utilize either of these without hurting their own personal DPS.....There should be a deep demo talent that let's critical strikes have a 10-30% chance to drop an infernal on your target (that would rule). This infernal would be a guardian. And, why not make the Doomguard an alternative to the Felguard? Would it be that OP? What if the Doomguard was re-focused as a ranged pet? Or at least as the preferred PVP pet for Demonology (Devour Magic and spell lock are massive losses for any lock in PVP even now while melee can global you and you are expected to blow Fel Dom to pop out that succy vs. a rogue).Give the Doomguard SOME purpose........
