A nasty bug with the 2-piece
Tier 10 bonus for Elemental
Shamans reared its ugly head recently when a player attempted to use
Elemental Mastery. The bonus, which is supposed to reduce the cooldown on Elemental Mastery by 2 seconds each time
Lightning Bolt and
Chain Lightning is used, instead puts the 31-point Elemental talent on a whopping seven day cooldown. This is akin to the bug found with the Hunter ability
Call Stabled Pet, which puts the ability on an
even more staggering 25-day cooldown.
Ghostcrawler
immediately responded to the concern as raised on the official forums, stating that the problem happens only in cross-server instances and that raiding shouldn't be affected. Elemental Shamans sporting two pieces from the
Frost Witch's Regalia would probably do well not to activate Elemental Mastery while in a dungeon using the
Dungeon Finder until a fix is found. Ghostcrawler stated that Blizzard is working on the issue.

Touche shamans. I thought us hunters had an annoying bug with the 15 day cooldown on the call stabled pet. Would it kill you other classes to let the hunters actually have a LEGITIMATE complaint? Come on, we finally have something to whine about that is a real problem and here come the shamans with an even bigger bug.

If it's any consolation, most hunters - mine included - get hit with a 25 day CSP cooldown instead of 15.
I wonder if there would be any drawbacks to resetting all cooldowns upon zoning out of a random dungeon. There's generally enough of a waiting period in the queue (for dps such as hunters and elemental shammys at least) that it doesn't seem like it'd be something that could be abused.

Nick, the stats don't show a lack of popularity for Hunter bugs but rather a ridiculous level of popularity for Shaman bugs.

I know that the workaround for hunters is to go into the arena and use the Call Stable Pet ability to reset resets the cooldown. Does the same solution work for shamans?

I don't know for sure but I believe if you read the OP thread that GC responded to, that shaman claimed to have already tried the arena rest trick to no avail.

I raised the Call Stabled Pet as an issue and the response I got was that they're working on it and if ou want to get out of the CD go into an arena skermish (which clears the CD). Then don't do it in a cross server dungeon.
