In Game fixes for January 4th, 2010

- The mail Bloodsunder Bracers have had their appropriate socket bonus added.
- The proc on Zod's Repeating Longbow should no longer reset auto shots.
- The gear requirement for heroic Halls of Reflection has been increased.
Like I said, short but sweet. Of course, we do have an extended downtime coming up tonight, and there's a few of us here at the WoW.com secret headquarters who are thinking (and it's just a gut feeling, mind you) that we'll see a few more patched in bug fixes in the morning. Regardless of what comes though, we will, of course, have all the news right here.

Depends on your spec, I blood tank and if I see each spawn in the wave I don't have a problem with it. Just a matter of telling the group the kill order and if they don't follow it and wipes ensue then who is at fault? A healer can miss a heal here and there I can live with that but if the kill order isn't followed and they start bitching that you or I can't hold agro again who is to blame?
I just hate the fact of it that the only way to seemingly do it is to sit in a corner and wait for them to come to you. I'd rather have the encounter be waves of 1-2 of the general types in the central hall than these mini trash spawns or more on par with the waves of VH. Sure you'll get 4-5 in a wave but others you just have the guardian. Poor design where you just go ok lets throw waves of 4-5 at them for 5 waves until a miniboss, rinse repeat to wave 10.

Eh, HoR is my new occulus. I don't need gear from there, it's long, it's relatively difficult. I can drop group and queue for the exact same rewards in enchanting material and badges if I just go to Nexus or something.

I can only equate heroic Halls of Reflection to heroic Oculus by noting both instances expose those incapable of nimble thought, and even then that really only applies to those stepping into heroic Oculus the first time before the nerfs.

The fact that HoR is a good order of magnitude more difficult than either of the two preceding Icecrown 5-mans might have a great deal to do with the wipes, but no! We have your piercing insight to tell us that it's just our sluggish thinking. Of course you're wrong, but there'll be no telling *you* that, I'm sure.
The change is great one. So far it is the only instance that I will walk away from on either of my mains (tank and healer), and not feel a twinge of guilt for doing so.

ive been threw H HoR with my 2 mains (pally tank/dps and priests holy/disc) and had wipes with peeps that had a 5k + gearscore including healers, to me gearscore means nothing my priest on only a gearscore of 4064 healed it with only one wipe right at the end of the lich chase,increasing the gearscore isnt going to increase your chance of not wipeing cause its the person on the keyboard and mouse that makes the toon.. if anything it should be put down the finer details eg. healz SP is 2.5k min tanks 35k ub min etc etc etc..

Glad to hear about the changes to the dungeon finder, now if they could just make it so when I queue up as DPS I don't sit there for 30 mins wishing/hoping/waiting for a grp to be formed lol

I really hope that the stand behind arthas exploit gets fixed, but doesnt get mentioned just so that the morons who try it get a nice and nasty suprise. The same thing i hope they do to Saurfang and the knock the blood beasts of the rise to make the fight a pure boring tank and spank encounter.

Occulus is just as easy and short as all the other original heroics. The only real bad part about it is that players have to wait extra time because others drop group as soon as they get it.

I'm very happy to hear about the increased baseline requirements, because while lately I've gotten some competent pugs, there always seems to be one under-geared player in there.

Honest question... what would you consider the low level acceptable DPS for HoR?
I can do 3k in a group (5k in a 25-man) but I got booted last night.

A veto option is sorely missing from this new dungeon system. Many times I've sat there on the 15min cooldown because one or more in the group are undergeared for hc PoS and/or hc HoR. Did hc HoR today fine with a well geared group but had a terribad hc PoS qq.

I believe he's referring to the option by the same name on the Halo matchmaker. It forms a group, and then tells you where you're going. If 3/5 choose not to accept that map, then the entire group gets a new random map which they must do. Either way, dropping out after the first map has been shown gives that game's equivalent of the Deserter debuff.
