The WoW Insider Show podcast aired once again this Saturday, with me and my guest hosts Matthew Rossi and Colby Moore delving into reader emails and this week's top stories on WoW.com. Thrill as we answer the age-old question of "Is it worth it to skip bosses in random heroics?" Marvel as we say it's pretty okay for Blizzard to help out the police! Gasp as I forget to thank my cohosts at the end of the show and pull a Yakko Warner! Goodnight everybody.
As always, you can email us at theshow@wow.com with any questions or comments -- we might even read yours live on the air.

If you guys are looking for features to fill shows (not that you particularly need them), I'd LOVE to hear some class interviews. Get a different class columnist (or someone else from the WoW community if the columnist isn't available or willing to do it) on each week and spend 15-20 minutes just talking through the class - explain the different spec choices, roles in endgame content, stuff other classes should know about them, that kind of thing.
The next time you do this, PLEASE do not use music with lyrics. It's very distracting. Even the host and guests were getting messed up. Use instrumentals please!!
Thanks, we'll keep that in mind for the next show. Some low music helps with the podcast sound in some way I don't really understand (ask Adam), but we can definitely adjust levels and all that.
Also, I really hope you got the appropriate permissions and paid fees to use that song as the R I double A will destroy you for broadcasting a complete song and not just the 30 seconds allowed for fair use.
3,000 gear score for heroics? I have my 4 pc t9 and 1 pc of t10 and I am at 2980. It's rare that I meet someone in Dungeon Finder who can out dps me. But I remember going into heroics almost immediately after hitting 80... that's what they were designed for after all. Now that they've become an emblemfest, people seem to have different standards about who they want in their heroic groups, which is unfortunate for those who HAVE just hit 80 and are running for gear as well.
I personally don't mind carrying a low dps through the instance... I do have a harder time if we have a tank in questing blues... if that happens I will usually pop on my tanking off spec and take over, but overall, I think it's great that if my alts ever make it to 80 that I can chain run heroics and be carried through.
I was leveling an alt mage in the old world last night and one of those earthquakes happened. I was confused for a few seconds because its the same screen shake as large giant type bosses make, but knew there was nothing like that in Ashenvale. It must have been this pre-Cata warmup :)

Otherwise, I love the show.

Agreed; and I would support sans music altogether. Very distracting; I thought it must be someone on the bus with their music too loud!

Agreed. The music is incredibly distracting, as well as awful. Otherwise a good show, I actually like the direction it's going.

You mentioned a chart showing Instance clear time, can you link that or does anyone know where it is?

The music was annoying. And this isn't tagged for the Wow Insider show, fyi.

Thanks for catching the category thing. Fixed.
As for the music, check my comment above.

Lol, I listen to that album when I'm playing wow all the time. Yay Billy Joel.

It's true, orc jesus can't be the one to say "Burn their homes! Slaughter their infants!"
I say, Garrosh ftw.

The show is good but you guys need to adjust your mics. Can hear way to much of you mouth noises and its driving me crazy.
Squelchy Jan 5th 2010 7:49AM
Hey, it's been over twelve hours and it still hasn't shown up in my iTunes feed. Did you guys change the rss location or is something else happening?

You must be using a score from a website. When people say "gearscore" they usually mean the score generated by the addon called "Gearscore".

Please, please, please... invest in a pop/breath filter!
I don't know what mic you are using. If you're looking for a good one, I really like my snowball!
http://www.bluemic.com/snowball/
It's a hearty mic with 3 modes and some built in pop protection (but can be used with a pop filter).
