Breakfast Topic: Which Plagueworks boss have you enjoyed so far?

Good news everyone!
The second wing in Icecrown Citadel is open. Inside the Plagueworks, we'll be taking on the next generation of abominations that Arthas and his lackeys have been working on. Festergut, Rotface and Professor Putricide will be available for your raid.
Have you fought them yet? Which one is your favourite? Festergut will be a bit chaotic the first time you go in there. Be careful of the gas in the room. Rotface looks to be a technical fight that demands some precision in movement from players. Watch out for the oozes!
Now Professor Putricide? We've been fighting abominations in Icecrown and other places. This time we get to fight as one. All you have to do is drink a potion and voila! If you haven't heard his audio yet, you'll be in for a treat. He's got some amazingly catchy sayings. Perhaps in the future, we'll do a roundup post of the best lines and quotes that Wrath of the Lich King had to offer. If you haven't done the wing yet, which boss are you looking forward to? If you have, which is your favourite?
Note: You only get 10 attempts on Professor Putricide before he despawns for the week. Use them wisely!

Had a lot of fun tanking 25man Festergut, when our server finally came up last night :). After downing him, we didn't have time to get to Rotface, but we'll be back tomorrow! Frogger 3.0 was a nice touch, but I'm glad that we don't have to do it every time we wipe.
It sure looks like no guilds have downed Professor Putricide yet... which I find to be quite surprising!

He was bugged last night such that you couldn't spawn more than one abomination on 25 man. I'd be suprised if NOBODY killed him, but most guilds are waiting for a fix before spending any more attempts.
I just got online so I don't know if this problem has been fixed.

fyi, a rogue can disarm the gas traps in the entrance hallway. if they disarm one they disarm them all.

@Falcrist
It's not a bug: http://blue.mmo-champion.com/12/22418852670-professor-putricide.html

Managed to down Festergut on 10 man last night and tried Rotface a few times. Enjoyed the fights and look forward to Dr. Puke! The one thing I thought was how much more difficult the trash is in this section with the 2 gluth pets. I would expect to see this nerfed soon since I can't see most pugs managing to get through the trash.

I wouldn't expect it to be nerfed until the next wing opens at the earliest. Blizzard has been very good since Ulduar about introducing very hard content and scaling back the difficulty as time progresses. It allows hard-core gamers to always have access to challenging content, and casual gamers to eventually see most of the end-game raids. It's not always perfect or ideal, but for the most part it works.
Having never done Stinky and (what was the other one?) before and not knowing anything about the mobs, our guild downed them both in 25-man on the third attempt with a wide range of i232-i264 gear, which does not indicate a nerf requirement to me. Wiping on trash can and probably should occassionally happen, otherwise you're just going through the motions to get to the boss, which isn't very fun.

I cleared the first 4 bosses of the 10man in a PuG last week, it was a blast having not really raided since Naxx (never stepped foot in ToC and only last week entered Ulduar for the first time doing the weekly). Here's to hoping I'll get to see Plagueworks this weekend!

Stinky and Precious!

GOOOOOOOOOD NEWS EVERYONE! So far, I've enjoyed a lot of the Trash because we can't get down the bosses O.o
ROB13 Jan 6th 2010 8:09AM
Or would that be Terrible News? Something about fighting Gluth over again just makes me smile.

I can't wait to fight Professor Farnsworth!

Our tank kept getting gibbed on Festergut. It seemed way too overtuned. Our best attempt was 30%. Very frustrating to see everyone doing well but still watching the tank go down because he was getting hit for 17k a pop.
Heilig Jan 6th 2010 11:59AM
17K is low for that fight. The dude gets a stacking buff that increases his damage. That's what tank and healer cooldowns are for. If your tank can't handle a couple of 17K hits, he shouldn't be tanking this content. Even in ten man, tanks should be approaching 50K health buffed to be able to survive, and your paladins should be dropping 15K holy lights every 1.5 seconds when the damage is heaviest.
Nick S Jan 6th 2010 12:15PM
Yeah, our tanks were getting rocked by Festergut, so we didn't get much done on him after clearing the rest of the place.
Chuck Jan 6th 2010 4:01PM
On Festergut, me and the warrior tank were each getting hit for 40k once we got around to the third spore. But we still downed it. Warrior had around 52k HP, and I have 64k HP (Bear Tank).
All in all though, it was more the strat for us that got us around it, we outgeared the fight.
Carson Jan 7th 2010 7:48AM
Yeah you definitely want to use cooldowns on the tank for when Festergut has done his third inhale. Also at that point the raid is no longer taking constant gas damage so healers can go full spam ahead on the tank.
Verakum Jan 6th 2010 8:13AM
The trash mobs were a nice Experience and really fun specially the 2 cute poodles that festergut and rottface have in there xD
we started playing really late thanks to the downtime and people login on late so we only tried a couple of hits on rottface before calling the raid (we started with rottface) it was quite good the tries though.
also the adds that spams in a massive group at random in the plagueworks is AMAZING :D (LOTS OF REP :P )
Vargg(firetree) Jan 6th 2010 8:12AM
idk... I'm waiting for my 10 man group on friday...... a lot of use I am, eh? hopefully tankspot has some good video strats that I can soak in before raid time comes!
Fripomanic Jan 6th 2010 8:27AM
So far I've have not had a chance for any of the new ones, since us Europeans have only had access to them for a handful of hours. I doubt I would have anything to share on this topic until end of week anyway, since I don't expect to be able to down much more than 4 or 5 bosses the first night of raiding. I suppose you could just continue from last weeks lockout, but that would be kind of stupid, cheating yourselves of loot like that.
Over all, it seems a tad early to post this question.
