The authenticator is really your best option if you wish to keep your account safe, it's really not such a problem having to punch in a few numbers before playing.Unless ofcourse you live in South Africa...Where we have no accessability to authenticators. I, personally, have never met a fellow South African WoW player who has one of these. It's just not readily available as in other countries.Even if we did have authenticators, we get disconnected so often it would become more of a burden than a blessing to have to keep punching those digits in every time before you log in, especially if you get disconnected in the middle of a raid.Regardless, do I want an authenticator to keep my account safe? Hell yeah, I don't want to be stuck with a crumby care-package because patience is not one of my virtues. Now somebody please mail me one! :P
