Who cares if you do less damage in a group? Tanks are for tanking, not DPS'ing. If you want to do more damage while tanking, use an Arms spec. Considering that the normal 5-mans were designed to allow this and that far better gear than tier 7 is easily available, you should be able to tank a heroic in an Arms spec. Maybe Fury.
