Spider-Man 4 canceled; Warcraft movie soon?

Raimi's decision to withdraw from the project supposedly stems from the summer 2011 release date, and how it would compromise the creative integrity of the film. This all comes after news that complications in the Spider-Man 4 script threatened to delay the film.
For Blizzard fans, this could mean that Raimi is now free to shift his focus to the World of Warcraft movie. However, Mike Fleming of Deadline Hollywood cites an alternative project option to the Azerothian epic, The Given Day, a novel written by Dennis Lehane, author of Shutter Island and Mystic River.
No official announcements from Raimi or Blizzard yet, however Fleming is a very reliable source for rumors in Hollywood.

Not saying I dislike Jim Carey but I have never seen him play a truly evil character such as the current batman and spiderman villains.

I'm sorry but the respective failure of the Batman movies, no matter what they were, had nothing to do with Jim Carrey. The problems were far deeper than that.
Unless he is the one who invented Bat Nipples.

I foresee Spiderman a la "Batman Beyond". Why would you re-do the origin story, when the first movie (a.k.a. the origin story) was arguably the best of the series?

Why would they push Spiderman back to 2012? Don't they know the world is going to end? I don't want to be watching a bad movie when the world ends.

The new director will actually be the ant-christ. Rivers of blood will not burst from the earth and the four horsemen will not appear, but the coming attractions for the film will feature at least seven trailers starring Nicholas Cage and that, if anything, is hell on earth.

It would be a summer release. The Mayan calendar doesn't run out until December 2012.

also, a rock calendar cant go on forever, it prolly just ended and they were going to change it but then the spanish invaded or some other stuff happened

You have nothing to panic about anyway. First off, nothing's going to happen. The end of a freaken calendar means nothing. I shall use caps to exclaim my point: LOOK, THIS IS THE END OF MY 2009 CALENDAR. I DIDN'T BUY A 2010 ONE, I'M GONNA DIE!
Secondly, even if it's true why the hell would you waste your time panicking? OH NO, THE WORLD IS GOING TO END. LET'S RUN AROUND LIKE CHICKENS WITH OUR HEADS CHOPPED OFF.
Even if something was going to happen your panicking wouldn't stop it. The world will still end, you would still die. This is, of course, if it weren't a load of crap.
