Two minor in-game fixes that were applied last night to the game. These fixes should be active once the servers come back up later this morning/afternoon. They're modifying the
Professor Putricide encounter just a tad, and should make a couple annoyances with the fight go away.
The fixes as
enumerated by Bornakk are:
- Professor Putricide's Tear Gas will no longer remove player auras.
- The Growing Ooze Puddles in the Professor Putricide encounter will no longer continue to grow while players are stunned.
That's all, and if there's any more in-game fixes we'll be sure to let you know.

"The Growing Ooze Puddles in the Professor Putricide encounter will no longer continue to grow while players are stunned."
YAYY This is why I always fell behind on oozes! >.>

I was kind of hoping they would fix the problem with the phasing around ICC, where the NPCs are invisble.
Muse Jan 12th 2010 8:59PM
Never mind the NPCs, where the other *players* are phased out. (and can't help summon/be summoned and don't understand why)

i keep failing at the malleable goo. they bounce slow and i can't tell where they're going to land =\
if there was one fix i'd like its just a little pinpoint on the ground on where its being thrown. if i'm targeted its no problem, but if someone else is targeted and i have to run to/from something, sometimes i run right into one of those.
at least shadowcrashes travel in an arc

I wish they'd change the color of either to bouncing oozes or the vials that break into the ooze puddles so they're not both green. I constantly find myself needlessly running from the ooze jars thinking its the exploding ones.
Anyway, good change with the ooze puddles not growing during stun.
Tinwhisker Jan 12th 2010 9:58AM
The bouncing oozes are just thrown in a straight line direction away from him and will explode when they hit someone (or reach the end of the path I think). If everyone moves out of that line (think Marrowgar's fire) then nobody will get hit.

Great...now fix the Rogue Nerf bat from hell!!! 7% nerf my foot...more like 15%
Rapskallion Jan 12th 2010 11:40AM
I'm not seeing 15% at all. In fact, with no gear changes from the week before, my Saurfang DPS was only < 2% lower. Now, that could be buffs, better CD usage (just switched back to combat two weeks ago so I'm still getting used to it again), or just RNG.
Even the muti rogue on my raid saw no where near 15%.

everyone kept dieing to malleable goo in ours too, just dont tunnel vision
as far as the slime not growing thank god
Siaperas Jan 12th 2010 11:24AM
Yeah, I could see how that could be annoying. A boss so powerful, he can actually turn off pally auras. I imagine that would be like a knat at a barbeceque. The kind of annoyance that's not too bad at first, but after the fiftieth time of it getting in your face, you're about ready to throw your own steak at it.

Hooray! More raid content fixed! Woo-hoo! But Test at Sea and various other GAME BREAKING bugs remain unfixed going on 1 + months now! YAY! WOOT!
Eudeyrn Jan 12th 2010 1:02PM
Test at Sea is technically still completable, but the workaround is a pain (and requires cold weather flying). You have to fly up to the Argent Tournament grounds, and go north into the new "Sea Reaver's Run" zone, then use the quest item while you are there. Then, fly back down to the ships with the quest mobs on it, without touching the right mouse button (using INS and DEL to pitch up/down). The green targeting reticle should remain visible during your entire flight back. Land on one of the ships, then aggro all the mobs in a pile, and then right click to use the quest item. You'll hit ~10 of them, which means you can do the quest in 2 runs.
Eudeyrn Jan 12th 2010 1:04PM
The Slumbering King is still broken in Howling Fjord, though, as the quest mob never spawns. Some people have had success opening a ticket and having a GM manually reset the mob. Unfortunately, response times are on the order of days now, so good luck being on when it actually gets reset.
Malchon Jan 12th 2010 1:07PM
@Eudeyrn
Yeah I tried that yesterday, and got 7 of them, and on my way back on the 3rd trip up there, I got dismounted while flying through Grizzly Hills. Nothing attacked me, I didn't hit any keys on my keyboard, one moment I was in the air, the next I was dead on the ground. A pain? You're damn right it is, and it's unacceptable that this has been the only way to complete this quest going on for a month now. I understand from looking at various topics that it's going to take a patch to fix this (and numerous other bugs that have sprung up since 3.3 hit), and if that's the case, what's the hold up on the patch?
kurtis168 Jan 12th 2010 1:29PM
Is the Venomspite bug ever going to get fixed? Also that bombing run for the Horde side in Howling Fjord needs fixing too.
Nightweaver Jan 12th 2010 4:06PM
They fix 10-man Rotface?
matha Jan 12th 2010 5:01PM
theres something wrong with rotface?
Draenors Jan 12th 2010 5:00PM
Did they fix the bug where Elemental T10 2-piece bonus would cause Elemental Mastery to go on a 7-day cooldown if used in a cross-realm dungeon?
Carcus06 Jan 12th 2010 5:56PM
Was doing Professor Putricide last night. At one point we were waiting for the green ooze to choose a target. I chose me so I couldn't move. Then right away a puddle spawned under me. So I was taking dmg from both the green ooze and the puddle. I died and all I could say was "No fair!!!!"
Treeston Jan 13th 2010 4:06PM
Get better healers. Working as intended.
