WoW.com's Weekly Comic: Byron, the Tauren Rogue!
Welcome to another edition of the WoW.com Weekly Comic -- Byron the Tauren Rogue!
Word of Byrons' 'legendary exploits' have spread like wildfire! I wonder how difficult this will make getting into Stormwind? Also, I do apologize - can you tell I don't like drawing crowd scenes? Check out the full version right here, and tune in next Tuesday morning for a new page!
You can also check out all the previous pages in the gallery below.

great stuff as always, cadistra! you may have missed this, but the man in the second panel probably meant to say "their power" instead of "there power."
Daethar Jan 12th 2010 11:11AM
Naw, man, I'm sure that's just Cadistra's intentional portrayal of [2.Trade]
; )

I wish I could edit, but also wanted to add in "So... who's (expletive) do I need to kick again?" should be "So... whose (expletive) do I need to kick again?"
The difference: "who's" means "who is/has", while whose is the possessive. Right now, it says "So... who is (expletive) do I need to kick again?"
But bonus points on correct usage of "wont"!
Radioted Jan 12th 2010 11:44AM
I'm not sure that is the correct usage of "wont." The sentence seems to call for the "Won't" version, whereas the panel has "wont'." There is no "wont'" version of "wont."
Side note: you know how sometimes a word will lose all meaning if you repeat it enough? Yeah, the word "wont" in all its varieties is now dead to me.
@cadistra: Sorry to have to pick these things apart. For what it's worth, I love the comic and "Wow, Eh?"
Radioted Jan 12th 2010 11:47AM
Annnnnd upon further review, I have determined that we are probably both right, but there is a joke involved that we were all missing. Carry on!

@Radioted
Look up "wont" in a dictionary and you'll see that she did in fact use it correctly.
Cephas Jan 12th 2010 11:59AM
Just to clarify, the first panel uses the word "wont" twice, the first time, it is used correctly as an adjective, and the second time it is immediately followed by an errant apostrophe that ought to go between the 'n' and the 't' to make the word "won't".

The loop-de-loop on the map made me laugh at loud. :D
Things are ramping up for young Byron; I have a feeling he just may get the shield out of fear of him.
Barinthos Jan 12th 2010 11:11AM
WTB Half-Tauren, Half-Orc, Half-Dragon Death Knight please. Blizzard, make it happen!
Valtor Jan 12th 2010 11:16AM
so would that make him 1/3rd of each or would he be 150% Tauorcagon
Barinthos Jan 12th 2010 11:57AM
150% Tauorcagon duh. It wouldn't be epic otherwise.
I mean, would you only want to be 100% Tauorcagon? I didn't think so.
ben Jan 12th 2010 12:29PM
what about half ManBearPig, half Death Knight, Half priest?
Valtor Jan 12th 2010 12:55PM
you tried to hard ben :P
Biscotti Jan 12th 2010 1:02PM
@ben, so you want him to be a paladin instead?
Lissanna Jan 12th 2010 11:15AM
I feel bad for poor Byron. He's going to either get pwnt, or get laughed at. I don't know which is worse, lol.
Neuropox Jan 12th 2010 11:20AM
Looks like someone is gonna bring the smackdown :P Cant wait to see who it will be!
skreeran Jan 12th 2010 11:40AM
I adore the art. Some of the most beautiful comic-styled WoW fanart I've seen in a while.
Kelly has definitely been improving over the years... :)
kalatash Jan 12th 2010 11:41AM
"I heard he built a real death ray! ...can I have it?"
Damn gnomes.
pongmo Jan 12th 2010 11:42AM
So can anyone make sense of the first text box? "So, the citizens of Theramore panicked, as citizens are wont to do..."
skreeran Jan 12th 2010 11:45AM
wont /wɔnt, woʊnt, wʌnt/ [wawnt, wohnt, wuhnt] adjective, noun, verb, wont, wont or wont⋅ed, wont⋅ing.
–adjective 1. accustomed; used (usually fol. by an infinitive): He was wont to rise at dawn.
It's an older word, but it's one that makes you sound smart. :P
