You don't understand, Gnosh. Any publicity is good publicity to them. They want attention in any way possible, even if it is negative. They can't get noticed via any socially acceptable means, so what's the easiest way to get that attention? Act like a douche and get plastered on the front page of WoW.com. Instant fame! With no incentive to act like a douche (fame on a popular website), then maybe less people will act like one.
Going on a slight tangent, I do find it amusing how my post, even though it is coherent, well written, polite and civil, has been down-rated into oblivion simply because I dared to disagree with the vocal populace of WoW.com. Meanwhile, comments that are simply "epic fail WoW.com" or "QFT/This" or some variant thereof have been up-voted to the heavens because they agree. Methinks people don't quite get the point of the voting system for comments. :)
