All you're doing is punishing yourself. Out of the three possible choices, the one that most benefits you and your group is to kick the tank and requeue as a group.
Scenario 1: Everyone else drops group. The tank goes back into the queue and is back in an instance in five seconds. You go back into the queue and have another five to thirty minute wait.
Scenario 2: Everybody waits until the tank drops group. The tank goes back into the queue and is back in an instance in five seconds. Your group goes back into the queue, but probably at the head of the line for "instances already in progress," and you get another tank in a few seconds to a few minutes.
