You didn't mention it last week, and I'm surprised you didn't mention it this week. Shawl of Nerubian Silk (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=50764) is a pretty nice cloak that drops from Lord Marrowgar 10 man. Definitely something hunters want to pick up while they're saving frost emblems for their t10. Unfortunately, I lost this to a DK last week. He ended up giving it to our tanking druid, and then the STR/STA cloak dropped on the boat fight.

It's not mentioned because it has Expertise on, something you definately don't want as a Hunter.

To elaborate. Expertise reduces the chance the enemy will dodge/parry your attacks. Since ranged attacks can't be dodged/parried, it's uselss for us.

Good point. But it's still an upgrade for me, lol.

Expertise is useless, but not the cloak. But I could definitely see why some people would pass on it.

Taking an expertise cloak from a melee class is worse than a tank rolling on a hunter weapon because it's more threat. At least the tank has the ability to use the threat from a hunter weapon, whereas we have absolutely no use whatsoever for expertise, regardless of what blues we're wearing in that slot now.

Danglewood brings up a heated debate however on whether or not people can roll on gear if its a flat out upgrade even if its better for a diff class.
however, you do NOT use expertise and therefore should, in your might mind(and I kno that's hard for some people), pass that up to a melee DPS class. It's just BAD for you to be using. It's almost like using a PVP cloak for PVE because resilience is a useless stat for DPS as expertise is useless for a hunter.
but it just bugs me how sometimes people can't just look beyond their own character's gear choices and see "ilvl 251", omgz its an upgrade. if you have an ilvl 200 cloak, then maybe it is.....but what are you doing with that cloak in 10ICC?
and i failed to mention you lost a roll to a DK....when in my eyes, you both shouldn't have been rolling on that particular cloak because it has agility....
but when its a pug run i guess you just have to roll with what people consider to be upgrades or not...

Unless you have the toc25 man cloak that drops off beast this cloak is an upgrade for any hunter... that being said you should only roll on it if there is no melee dps that wants it.

I find it ironic that the DK, who definitely could use the cloak more than you, still did the right thing and passed it to the feral druid, while you are complaining about losing the cloak.
It's just karma that the str/stam cloak then dropped for the DK. He deserved it.
