The Daily Quest: Mack rows

- OutDPS has some great hunter macros for ICC.
- If you want to know everything there ever was to know about macros, Matticus made a post over at NoStockUI concerning that very subject.
- While you're over at NoStockUI, check out how to replace the old workhorse addon Cartographer in patch 3.3.
- Frost mages can increase the output of their water elemental pet by force casting the pet's waterbolt. Quite a nice trick for an extra 3% or so DPS!
- Tanking Tips looks at all the available tanking weapons for warriors, a very nice list and accompanying analysis.

Hey, thanks. I've been meaning to get some macros worked out and for some reason I could never figure them out until the link at NoStockUI.

So I go to that tankingtips article on tanking weapons, and they say Burnished Quel'Serrar isn't even worth mentioning.
I'm now never going to tankingtips ever again, if they expect to write "tips" on "tanking" they should learn how to tank first.

The weapon has about a 50% proc uptime making it unreliable. It offers only Stamina whereas heroic weapons offer the same level or more Stamina with Avoidance and/or Threat stats. Most importantly, it's slow which makes it a horrible weapon threat/damage since Warrior threat/damage is based heavily upon Heroic Strike usage.
So you can use a Peacekeeper Blade and have better survival with similar if not better damage/threat or you can use "The Claw" and just have straight up better survival and threat/damage.
So probably I should have analyzed it further, but felt it better to keep new and experienced readers focused on what works.

The frost mage trick also works for destruction warlocks and imps:
/cast Immolate
/cast Firebolt
/cast Chaos Bolt
/cast Firebolt
/cast Conflagrate
/cast Firebolt
Etc.
It cuts latency on the pet's ability, forcing it to cast whenever you do. Over a long fight this is a measurable increase in damage. The only downside is that people you're grouped with may grow tired of hearing the Imp complain every time he's given an order.
