What you described was no different than an actual raid, other than it being outdoors.The fun from world bosses was that you never knew what was going to happen. You might get a flawless run one time or some guild of the opposing faction might come along and start an epic PvP battle (like my guild used to when Kazzak would spawn in the Blasted Lands). I'm not a regular raider anymore, but I feel like this is one of those situations where not everyone should be able to participate--it shouldn't necessarily be accessible to everyone like current raiding has shifted towards. It's risk versus reward and world bosses should max out on both.
