One of the fresh, fun things about this video is the obvious skill displayed by Ember Isolte in her vocal performance. She sounds very much like Beyonce Knowles, but still gives the song an interesting "Draenei sound." Both the graphics and the lyrics gently poke fun at its subject without feeling mean spirited or cruel. That's a pretty rare balance, and Ember Isolte and Raven Sylphe should both be proud of their work.
Update: Ember has contacted us to let us know that the mastermind behind the project is Ryan Myers. Ryan wrote the lyrics and even did a machnima of it quite a while ago. You can check out the original video of it; it certainly has all the makings of the current incantation that has sparked a lot of interest in the WoW community. It's great to see talented artists like Ryan, Ember, and Raven work together to create what ends up to be an amazing product. Kudos to them all!

Hey everybody!! Don't forget to show some crazy love to Ryan Myers, the mastermind who wrote these awesomely epic lyrics!! He should get tons more credit since he's the one who thought of it in the first place! ^_^

Seriously. I'm not the biggest on WoW machinima music videos, but I'm not going to hold up a sign and march down the street because of it. People put work into their movies and the last thing they want to read is someone saying "OOOOMMMMGGGG LOOK AT THIS HORRIBLE WASTE OF MY TIME"

Guys, you do understand that the movie watch has to feature about 260 videos a year? That's roughly 20 per month. In order to maintain the "best" machinima guidelines, sometimes it needs to be featured twice. And sometimes it needs to put "lower quality" machinima. And keep in mind we're in some kind of slow-down in machinima.
As for the video, it was really clever. Nice work on the lyrics, and the singing...thought it was Beyonce at first! XD
