- When: Saturday, January 16th, 4:30pm EST (1:30pm PST, 2:30pm Server time)
- Where: The Hall of the Brave (where the Battlemasters are), Orgrimmar, Zangarmarsh U.S.
- Who: Any level 10 or above Horde character.
- How: Ask any It came from the Blog Lurker or Robinator for a guild invite.
- What: Battleground premades

someone should write about the travesty that is Wintergrasp and why jolt fueled devs shouldn't be allowed to publish code untested.
On my server we havn't taken wintergrasp in a week. I do about 6 a day. Lots and lots of issues to be fixed.
1. The PVP gear is now worthless
2. We are often in a 7 vs 40 to 16 vs 100 situations. That type of game is heavily biased to the large number faction. In a 7 v 40 you can't get siege out of shops, you can't get a shop back as your timer click the same pace, 4 people in the gy, one person is an opposing faction alt driving a siege south, the other three can't hold a shop. This is a massive imbalance that only gets worse as each day passes.
3. Anytime a faction is populated less then 20 they should be getting 30 tenacity. They should have speeded up rezzing, faster workshop turnover.
4. This BG is so badly broken by the devs, they don't even need to test changes to fix it.

I like it this way, feels mor elike a struggle to capture a fortress and adds on to a true Warcraft experience. Having a massive fortress shift in power every 2 hours is just stupid.
And on my realm the opposing faction once had Wintergrasp for about 8 days, then my faction banded together, traveled in groups of 5 all organized, and dominated. We wouldn't let the other faction even close to Wintergrasp.
It felt much more epic then just participating in a game where you know what the outcome will be.

We (Alliance) don't even bother trying to take Wintergrasp on my server anymore (Mug'thol), since Horde severely outnumber Alliance over there, and the only time we do is during the middle of the night when everybody is asleep.
Seriously, if you look at the "logbook" in the keep, it's a bad joke. It says something like "Horde has taken the keep 942 times, Alliance has taken the keep 57 times" or something like that. Next time we get Wintergrasp (hah!) I'll get the exact numbers...

We aren't playing our mains during guild events either. Make a character on Zangarmarsh that you only play for WoW.com events. We'd love to have you.
