Around Azeroth: An army of one
We've gotten several submissions this weekend of the newest gold seller tactic. Dead body graffiti is apparently old school now -- the latest trend is armies of identical gold sellers, spelling out the name of a site, marching in formation around Stormwind/Orgrimmar. Ben of Quel'thalas-EU sent in this particular screenshot, but they've also been spotted on Sargeras-EU and Daggerspine-EU.
Do you have any unusual, beautiful or interesting World of Warcraft images that are just collecting dust in your screenshots folder? We'd love to see them on Around Azeroth! Sharing your screenshot is as simple as e-mailing aroundazeroth@wow.com with a copy of your shot and a brief explanation of the scene. You could be featured here next!
Remember to include your player name, server and/or guild if you want it mentioned. Please include the word "Azeroth" in your post so it does not get swept into the spam bin. We strongly prefer full screen shots without the UI showing -- use alt-Z to remove it. Please, no more battleground scoreboards, Val'kyr on mounts, or pictures of the Ninja Turtles in Dalaran. Older screenshots can be found here.

Someone did mohawk all of them in Icecrown-US then I proceeded to use Piccolo of the Flaming Fire on the ones in the 'O' so we got some floating while dancing in sync level 1 human pallies with nelf mohawk heads...

And I'm a Night Elf Gold Spammer

I will give them this - they're creative, and things like this are at least entertaining and much preferable than receiving in-game whispers from someone named Ghweioaknl or seeing a lone level 1 peon yelling it in a capital city.
Too bad all that effort is wasted on gold-farming sites, though. It would be nice to see something like this to garner attention to a LEGITIMATE relief fund site for things like Katrina, Haiti, etc.

And you thought lag was bad before?

All these people who think this is so much fun need to endure it yourself. It nearly crashed my session! You will be very bored of this stunt very soon.
And what's more, you can't even work out the name of the site... it fails

An army of orcs in front of the Orgrimmar AH, a few feet above the ground, /saluting in unison ... absolutely terrifying. I mean it. (not to mention the spam of emotes)

Is selling gold really that profitable anymore? I mean with blizard's crack downs and how easy it is to make money now. I've personally never bought gold cause i've always had a ton, and i haven't played in a few months (I keep up on the news though) but if i remember my character has about 25k+ gold on just my main....
Drakkenfyre Jan 18th 2010 10:18AM
There are people out there too damn lazy to do anything, they just want to "click-click", buy gold.
