Wrong.
The limit is on the data swaps from and to the local video cards in MMO's.
These channels are way too small to handle the data needed from and to the CPU and graphic cards. The hard disk drive speeds that hardly changed over 10 years....
Ask yourself why those extremely long waiting times appear in all those console (and even PC) games "loading graphics screens".
In FACT: WOW is one of the BEST background loading graphics screen games on the market.
You can fly ALL over Northrend and Outland without EVER seeing a graphics loading screen.
So shut up with that nonsense. Blizzard added a fantastic background loading graphics screen to its MMO and could perfectly tune the graphics to the exact medium they want it to be.
The limit is in the design of an open ended MMORPG with no loading screens with present day hardware.
Period. LEARN before posting rubbish.
Are there higher pixeled MMO's ? Yes ... and then watch their OFF line loading graphics screens first and their unresponsive STIFF animations with a stick in the avatar's asses (like Aoc, Lotro, GW, War, you name it).
