Hard disk drives have been improving in both speed and technology, then there's the advances being made in solid-state drives.Also, who cares about loading screens? People care more about frame rates, and that has more to do with your video card's memory, which has been improving as well.The lack of loading screens between zones is also not new, nor was it when WoW was released - the original Asheron's Call was seamless! I remember playing that game in High School, and I graduated in 2000.
