WoW invented all those things, true story. Clearly BioWare isn't making Dromund Kaas look like the cliche "dark cloudy skies filled with lightning" that you see in EVERY mad scientist story. Clearly the backstory of the planet doesn't say that the Sith Emperor did experiments on Dromund Kaas that basically screwed up the atmosphere with permanent lightning storms. Clearly WoW invented it first.
