WoW.com's Weekly Comic: Byron, the Tauren Rogue!
Welcome to another edition of the WoW.com Weekly Comic -- Byron the Tauren Rogue!
Looks like the baddest of the bad has come in to track down her prey. She's lean, she's mean, and she sure doesn't like cows!
Also, a little note from the artist - starting next week, the Byron comics will be in a black and white/grayscale setting. Yes, I know, not having color isn't cool, but I sadly have time constraints to think about. I just want to make sure I put out a quality product for you guys. Thanks for understanding!
Check out the full version right here, and tune in next Tuesday morning for a new page! You can also check out all the previous pages in the gallery below.

In before the Byron haters (you know who you are <cough>Balkam<cough>Sleutel<cough>), the grammar police, and the "Oh Emm Gee, this is moving WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY to [sic] slow" crowd.
Great artwork on this one, Cadistra! I love the expressions and that gnome actually makes me want to perhaps think about possibly, maybe, rolling an Alliance toon!
...nah.
This actually makes me think about PUSS! In boots! from Shrek 2. Hee hee hee...

Oh, and to anyone who might be thinking about posting a gripe about the forthcoming b&w/grayscale comics due to time constraints?
Yeah. She posted a question on Twitter earlier today asking about whether she should scale back things or post in B&W/Grayscale in order to ensure you are getting a good product.
So it's not like it's out of the blue here. She asked her fans first.

There was also a discussion between myself and the other leads with Kelly about going B&W/Grayscale, and we fully support her in this decision. I'm not going to tolerate trolls very much today, so think twice before bringing your QQ here.

Im fully ready to whoop some Balkam if you are, Tokk!
Anyway, pretty tall for a gnome, but this is THE gnome rogue, so it has to be tall!
:)

I cheer a comic that has better staying power than Lion's Pride Inn.
Longest few week hiatus in WoW comic history.

Love the detailing in the 2nd panel - the floorboards warping and pulling up...oh, yeah, and the freakin' hot looking gnome is a definite plus! :-)
Tori Jan 19th 2010 11:04AM
Awesome so far, I absolutely love this comic! :D
pietrex Jan 19th 2010 11:10AM
The last panel is pretty scary. :D Poor Byron.
Syme Jan 19th 2010 11:15AM
HA! I didn't see that coming. Well done!
Aro Jan 19th 2010 11:18AM
Evi reminds me of Oasis from Sluggy Freelance. She has he same sweet, innocent, "don't turn your back to me because I hate easy targets" look. I do like the fact that Byron's nemesis is going to be a Gnome and I am very excited to see future fight scenes between the two. Oh, and in panel four the guys expression is priceless. Keep 'em coming!
LilBanshee Jan 19th 2010 12:11PM
I didn't even think of that, but now that you point it out I totally agree!
Of course, if she was subtlety, she'd be even more like Oasis with http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=31230

YES. That. Is. All.
For proving that gnomes can be just as awesome as the other races, Kelly, you have earned my undying respect.

Gnome Rogue vs. Tauren Rogue!
WHO YA GOT?????
ZMES_Matt Jan 19th 2010 11:28AM
Does Escape Artist break War Stomp? :P
KJP Jan 19th 2010 11:33AM
I'm gonna take a stab (sorry) and guess the one after whom the comic strip is named.
Still, a badass gnome is a rare enough sight that I'll enjoy her while she lasts.
Al Jan 19th 2010 2:54PM
I don't know, KJP. That wasn't such a good omen for Flintlocke.
Neuropox Jan 19th 2010 11:23AM
Very well done. Like how you see the gnome rouges different looks from pissy to kinda flirty. Well done. Keep up teh good works!
Juanin Jan 19th 2010 11:34AM
You heard that? She's THE gnome rogue.
Love it!
Phil Jan 19th 2010 11:37AM
As always that comic strip is a lot of fun to read.
A bit of speculation, wouldn't it be funny if at some point there was a Male Draenei Rogue as well? Considering they are also big, clunky, and have hooves? Just an idea.
LilBanshee Jan 19th 2010 12:13PM
But who would care? There could be a male Draenei who gave out free money and candy, and people would still shun the ugly blue boy.
