In news from the WoW community, guildmates of MMA grappler Haydn Clasby, aka Croc of <Defiant Hearts>, US Bloodscalp-H, are rallying in support after he suffered a broken neck in what was called a freak accident during a match in New Zealand last month. Friends and fans are publicizing a Recovery Fund to help Croc out with the medical costs of the devastating accident.
Our friend Jens "Little Evil" Pulver, also an MMA fighter and inveterate WoW player (and seen in yesterday's 15 Minutes of Fame), offered these words of support for Croc: "My heart and thoughts go out to you, brother. Make sure you keep your spirits up and tackle this with the same grit and guts you used to get in there in the first place. Take the time to heal and get well soon. Chin down, hands up and always come out fighting; don't let this stop you. I wish you all the best."
Best wishes, Croc, for your continued recovery!

COMMUNITY NEWS
- An effort to organize the EU's 10-man Strict community and address 10-man strict concerns is forming on the WoW Europe forums. "As the 10-man Strict raiding community is a small one, spread over all European servers, it is really hard to activate the majority," writes player Ghengie, EU Frostmane), "as it is very time-consuming to make alts on all servers to have a chat. We are a small group of players, so our combined voices still is not a really loud one. This results in the topic being on the edge of floating off the first page all the time." Lend your support and feedback on the forums.
- Word just in from Aleksey, former GM of Sedition on US Cho'gall-A and part of the movement to jump-start Cho'gall's overwhelmed Alliance population. Aleksey has finally thrown in the towel and moved on to a realm with more active Alliance players. Better luck to him on his new realm and to those still struggling to build an Alliance community on Cho'gall.
- Speaking of world PvP, players on US Scarlet Crusade are still coming down from the high of a massive, multi-guild Alliance raid on Orgrimmar: eight full 40-man raids, countless individuals and other raids and groups, in an effort that took weeks of planning by Alliance guilds. The Horde responded with a well planned counterattack. All in all, Thrall, Cairne and Varian all went down -- as did Scarlet Crusade as well as the entire Reckoning Battlegroup. Good times for all.
- Players on US Moon Guard are organizing an in-game event next month in support of cancer awareness. Get involved on the Moon Guard forums.
MILESTONES
- Congratulations to <Ministry of Truth>, US Winterhoof-H, on marking its first anniversary. Dedicated to helping new players, the guild has grown to more than 100 members with two active progression teams (one moving through ToTC after downing Lord Jaraxxus).
- <Order of Golden Fries>, US Moonrunner-A, is celebrating four years together this week. Congrats!
- Marking its three-year anniversary is <Suncrown>, the longest-lasting Blood Elf roleplaying guild on US The Venture Co-H, "where VCO is for FITE and wonderful world PVP."
- Our condolences to friends and members of <Insert Latin Name Here>, US Scarlet Crusade-A, on the loss of guildmate Uthrine, who passed away early this month. "He was young, vibrant, full of humor and life," wrote guildmate Boz. "His untimely death has rocked the whole guild and the many players on Scarlet Crusade who have had the pleasure raiding with him. Uthrine 1989 – 2010 -- he will be missed."
RANDOM ACTS OF UBERNESS
- Wår, US Nesingwary-A "As tank, his gear/HP wasn't uber. His attitude more than made up for it. Group was so awesome we ran four to five more. Total blast, great guy, fun runs. Hey Wår -- keep it real and maybe the LFD will put us in a group again some day." (Lornicide, US Hydraxis-A)
- Maceman <Core>, US Greymane-A "Maceman joined us for our guild's initial foray into ICC-10 as a pickup healer. He wound up raid-leading us through the first two bosses. Not once during the 18 wipes did he complain, mock or discourage us. He truly is an exceptional player!" (Helzibob, GM <Brotherhood of the Vale>, US Greymane-A)

Bah, I hate to confess to this, but I quite liked the drama as well. SORRY! I haven't been on wowinsider in a while now, and I was a bit lost in the beginning, but the comment section on this one sorted it out for me.
The problem with the drama was often that links no longer worked because posts had been taken down and such, or made private when it came to guild forums. Of course it's a bit annoying when you read something juicy, want details, click a link, nothing there.
I do understand why you took the drama off, but I also understand why people want it back. I enjoy reading about exceptional people, however I do this in the 15 minutes of fame thing. I do enjoy reading about downing stuff, however, I get this fix from realm forums and well... it's everywhere. I also don't really think people are that interested on knowing who cleared what on some obscure realm on another continent. So in that respect, I think drama wins when it comes to aforementioned topics.
I can get my drama fix by surfing other forums yes, but it's always easier when someone on wowinsider tracks it down for us.

And the wow.com people were good at it because this site is so popular that people send in their drama and people don't have to scour realm forums for a laugh.
But again, why on earth post when a diminutive guild clears a reg 10 man? I mean, what's the difference between posting when 3 or 4 guilds clear Ulduar for the first time, and looking at the progression thread on a realm forum? Oh I know, the progression forum has drama a lot of the time ;)
As I see it, this column just adds nothing of any particular interest that can't be found just as easily elsewhere. However, and to my great disappointment, it seems Adam has nailed the coffin shut on another of his posts. Boo :(

My comment supporting the drama was deleted as well,as someone that doesn't post offten it makes not want to post at all. Why bother posting if the powers that be happen to disagree with it,then it'll be deleted anyway.

I have nothing against this article, even the downed section. But I read almost every WoW.com post anyway, even if it doesn't particularly concern me.
I believe the issue here is that none of the current bloggers on this site want to do the drama section. It seems like a lot of work, and a lot of reading to get through for just one column. I'm not calling anyone here lazy, but I guess Mike Schramm just enjoyed putting this stuff together, and there isn't anyone to step in his shoes.
I don't think we'll be seeing the drama section returning, even though it's obviously what most readers here want (no matter what Adam says). At the same time, I predict that comments on "The Classifieds" will continue to show support for drama for several weeks! There is nothing wrong with this column, but the drama was much more entertaining and fun to read.

Thank you so much for removing the Drama section. Your new format is mature, well-thought-out, informative, and (finally!) a joy to read.
Keep up the good work & Kudos!

I'll probably just get downrated, but at least I'll be in good company.
I like the new classifieds. And I think Adam is right in that their are lots of people that read and don't comment. I lurked around the site for months before making my first comment. I also think that those wanting the drama are more likely to express that opinion, because they all sound like... rather... gossip-girl people. People that like to talk.
Anyway, I think this article is cool because you get to see what guilds are doing. I especially like the Uberness section. It's so awesome seeing what nice things that people do in the game. I think sometimes we forget that the people you are playing with are real. The other night I was in a PUG on my alt. The tank excused himself at one point to tuck his kids into bed. He was a great tank, and a helpful player and a real person.
I think that's why I don't really dig the drama. It's real people we're talking about here, and I'd much rather hear about how a team worked together to down something or help a friend in need than hear about some dumb guild bank scam.
